Developed a bad case of canker soars, so bad I could barely vape until I found some info. on over the counter remedies' ingredients, propylene glycol and menthol, so I started vaping menthol on top of tons of ice and ice water till I'm feeling better today finally.

My concern is with the steel drip tips on my mini protank II 2, & iClear 30BCD w/ swivel tip. The constant taste of these steel tips in my mouth are horrid and I believe I may have an internal sensitivity to steel Drip Tips. So I cut up a couple of old E-Cig Cart condoms to use as tip covers which has helped alleviate further irritation of the sores & further eruptions of new ones. I keep sanitizing those with peroxide too.

I've only been vaping since July 22 when I stopped smoking cigs and need helping suggestions on Drip Tips for my tanks that are not expensive. :vapor:

Hi

You might not have a sensitivity, lots of people can taste stainless steel tips and don't like them. There are tips made out of a lot of different materials. What sort of tank are you using and what kind of juice? I'm asking about the juice because if you vape "tank cracker," even if you are using a glass tank and acrylic drip tip shouldn't be used (the bottom melts).

What colors do you like? What's your budget?

Vaping V2 Sahara, Congress, Menthol @ .3- Nicotine. So I far haven't found my cigarette tobacco holy grail. Have looked at tons of Drip Tips but not sure about compatibility. Colors? I like to color code my flavors... Green for mint / menthol, Blue for Congress, Purple for Sahara, Clear for Combo mixes etc. I ordered a couple of acrylic ones to check the fit.... said they were 510 compatible. Only have 2 tanks now but that is another question. Thanks for your quick response.

V2 Sahara? I'll have to Google that, I not familiar with it. Sorry to break it to you, but you won't find a liquid that that's like a cigarette. Tobacco tastes like tobacco, without the combustion throat hit or tar finish...

Oh wait, is Sahara a flavor? I meant what battery device, I wanted to know the size. Did the 510s fit? What is your budget?

Sahara, Congress and Menthol that taste like cool mint are a tobacco flavors, I don't like menthol cigarette taste. Batteries 1- iTaste VV 3 and 1 - KangerTech VV 1100 mAh. The Drip Tips I ordered off Ebay were 2.45 ea. supposed to be 510 compatible and they haven't arrived yet for me to chk the size. I like the Natural Jade ones, acrylic, whistle type would be nice, and dark resin like that come on EX Blanks...
iTaste is set to P 7.5 and I leave it there per the Youtube iTaste tutorial
KangerTech I go between V4.0 - 4.3 that I use w/ iClear 30 BCD

Read the Vaping tutorial and quitting smoking articles, it seems canker sores are also withdrawal from nicotine symptoms. I've been vaping the same 70/30 pg/vg ejuice since July 22... I may have certainly got some e-liquid in my mouth messing with the VV levels :(
Ocelot, I was considering ordering some of the Natural Jade Drip Tips to auction on Ebay, as a way of getting my vaping to pay for itself. lol Isn't this a getting started new member question that has a simple solution? lol

It would be very unusual to have a sensitivity to stainless steel.........real stainless steel, since it is used in food and medical industry.

My thought is that the drip tips on these items you speak of is NOT real stainless steel. It is probably some kind of coated chrome or something with some other metal that is known to cause allergies.

Toss 'em and get delrin or REAL stainless. Super T Manufacturing is a safe place to get them, they are real stainless.

...and wash your mouthpiece several times a day.

I am *very* careful about what metals are in drip tips. You know you can't even buy a garden hose that is used for "drinking" i.e like an RV camper, unless it is zinc-free. That is because metals like these are not safe to come in contact with, etc.

Just get some kind of impenetrable plastic like delrin, or real stainless. Those would be safe.

All these other cheap chinese things people buy, I have no idea if they are safe and I'm not willing to suck on them to find out LOL

That would have to be tested better, i.e. people who quit cold turkey, do they get canker sores? (I never did)

When you smoked a cig, you took a clean fresh one out of package, then smoked it and threw it away. With vaping, people are using same drip tip all day long, so MUCH exposure to mouth bacteria then outside/environment/other surfaces. This introduces bacteria.

Only time I got canker sores was vaping cinnamon, it cracked my lips a bit, dried them out (microscopically....I had my doctor look) and then the bacteria from putting drip tip to lips 30 times a day worked it's magic.

I stopped smoking cold turkey 3 times in my life......no canker sores. I stopped another time with patches.....no canker sores.

Mystery metal is what Pro Tank tips are...
I like Cherry Vape drip tips. No taste whatsoever from their medical grade stainless...
