I'm actually very excited on the Triton 2. I spent a good amount of time with the original Triton and don't have a whole lot of negative things to say (unlike the iSub Apex unfortunately) and it seems like the Triton 2 fixes a few of the items I didn't like about it.

I spoke with my Aspire rep on Friday and she said we should get pricing and an availability date this week for the Triton 2!

Well, I don't really like Aspire's "innovation" policy. In my honest opinion, they try to make another Atlantis. The Triton V1 was quite good. I really liked the top fill, design, the way it looks on my IPV. This one brings nothing to the game, we saw it hundrets of times. Well, lets wait till they drop it on the market. All in all I may be wrong.

Just by looking at them, the coils look exactly the same. They may not be but I don't see any major innovation here. I just see a company releasing a product that is unnecessary for more sales from the loyal following they have, just my opinion. I have both an Atlantis V1 and got a V2 two-three weeks after the V1 so I may have a negative bias towards them because I felt cheated at the time. I like the looks of the tank for sure, but, again, it doesn't look like the coils have changed from Atlantis to Triton (or at the very least Triton V1 to V2) and the coils are most of what matters performance wise (could be wrong, obviously I can't judge performance from looks).

I really do feel you brother. Aspire wants to make as much money as it's possible, and also, they try to recreate the succes of the first Atlantis, which of course is a great tank, but damn! How many times are they going to drop the same thing, over and over again?

I just wish with all the energy and money they spend on a new tank every couple of months or so they also would take the time to produce a Good 30mm tank....

hope I don't get hung from the rafters here but I am Not impressed with my Triton it is an Ok tank but not great. My liked my Tobeco super mini better till I broke it. I don't like the tank fill design holes are to small & juice always stays in the to part making it a pain to put the drip tip back on. The air flow moves way to easy constantly adjusting it. The flavor is good at best. I was going to try the Triton 2 but after I broke my Tobeco yesterday I needed a tank & bought the Crown. I cringed as it was almost twice the amount as the Triton but after using it it is also twice the tank

I don't think the coils were ever a problem? Though, there is a big difference between the Atlantis coils and the Triton coils, at least in the .3 and .5 (technically .4 for Triton) range. The Atlanis uses kanthal where the Triton uses stainless steel. That's actually a pretty big difference, especially when it comes to the .3 coils. The Atlantis .3 coils are in the range of 70-80w where the Triton coils are in the 45-50w range. That's a pretty substantial drop in power usage. Having real world experience with both coils, the Atlantis .3 coils can fire as low as 50/55w, they suck with that little power. You don't start getting good hits till about the 60w range. Whereas the Triton .3's, I've fired as low as 35w with a decent hit.

As far as the Triton v1 vs v2 goes. There's no difference between the coils, but it seems (I won't know for sure until I get my hands on one) that they fixed a lot of the design flaws of the v1 (larger fill holes, non-obstructed tank that you could actually get to and clean out, removed the useless top air flow holes, enlarged the wicking holes, shortened the whole unit). Sure, none of those are game changing, but they definitely show Aspire is at lease trying to fix the problems of the v1.

Hopefully this brings down the price of the V1. I wont be interested in the V2 unless I can get it priced somewhere in the $20s

I dont see much with the V2 that was needed over the V1.

The current coils are just fine and Ive yet to find a better replaceable coil for flavor than the 1.8 ohm of the Triton. Even beat out the 1.8 Nautilus coil used with the Kabuki. I havent used any of the other coil options the Triton has.

Larger juice fill holes would be nice. Fixing the gurgling right after refilling, although that does correct itself by opening up the airflow and taking some hits.

The Triton IMO is probably better suited for mtl vapers. The Triton 1.8 ohm coil produces better flavor by far than any other sub ohm tank I have but I mainly vape NETs which really arent for sub ohming tanks anyway.
