I was wondering if any of you have experience the very bad spitback from this tank. I enjoy this tank very much. But the spitback is really bad. After every tank, there seem to be a bunch of juice choked below the driptip.

Any ways to avoid this or this is just the nature of the tank?

I encounter the same issue as you. Not sure if its the tank or my wicking/coiling problem. hmmm...

I've never gotten this problem. Could it be a wicking issue?

Well, ok, once I did... Built the tank up with a new wick but it was a tad too tight and I dripped it up heavily before I assembled and filled the tank. It was spitting a lot through one full tank. But the I left her empty for maybe a half an hour before I refilled her again and the second tankful was fine with no spitting.

Discussed this with a buddy and he reckoned that I had maybe dripped too much juice into the cotton and coil before assembly.

Recently re-wicked it again with less cotton and didn't aggressively drip the coils and it's been easy from the first tankful. It's my first tank and it's really and easy build and very satisfying.

when i first started using it i also had the same prob. turns out after i tried using more cotton then i normally do with my kayfun, the spitback issue disappeared. try varying the amount of cotton you use for diff ratios of pg/vg juices also eg: higher vg juice, use a wire and go thru the cotton a few times then removing the loose strands of cotton so that the ends will not be so thick until it wont absorb the juice, whereas lower vg juice you can just cut off the ends like you normally do and stuff it into the juice hole. found that it works for me, hope it helps you!

Could be your top cap not tightened enough. It has a thick silicone ring which can feels secured when you turn it a bit but actually can still make more turns to totally tighten it. Noticed mine had similar issue when I lazy to tighten it fully down, as I thought that just slightly turn a bit and cap it is good enough.

Remove the top cap and u'll notice another small silicone o-ring on a short shaft which is supposed to seal bottom shaft to base of drip tip which can only work when fully tightened. When not tightened fully, some vapour leaks through the shaft gaps, falls back and collects around the sides like what happened to your case.

Have had the Serpent Mini in black for about 2 months. It's pretty much my go-to atty when I'm out of the home.

I wash it regularly and generally take pretty good care of my gear. I'd just done a thorough soak and found that the black paint is slowly chipping off. Kinda wishing I'd bought a stainless steel one instead.

The Serpent Mini black version looks like power-coated/paint kind and not advisable to get (great for Harley's tanks though, lol.)

If you should get a black RDA/RTAs, get those those with PVD coating. The only black RDA I had is the PVD coated Magma Reborn, which looks incredibly sexy on a black mod. The coating feels durable so far, like molded onto the surface with milled lines still visible.

Yeah, lesson learned. Got a new Serpent Mini in SS waiting for me in JKT. I'm gonna either make or find something suitable to carry a loaded tank so I can switch out flavours in the middle of the day. Maybe the elastic mag pouch I posted earlier can work...
