Lately I have had some gnarly dry skin on my face. Like BAD. I have heard before that vaping can be dehydrating, but can it actually dry your skin to the point that it gets almost flaky? I have been using my wife's face lotion and it seems to help, but I'm kind of a burly guy... Face lotion has never been a part of my reality lol.

If any one has any info, please let me know.

Thanks

Hmm. I've not had anything like this, just thirst. Nothing skin related. My boyfriend has mentioned his face being a bit dry, but seems fine lately. In our case, I attribute some of our changes (mine & his) to aging and winter. I'm 45, he's 42. Nothing out of the ordinary for me at all. I moisturize daily, always have, though.

I'd be surprised if your dry skin is vaping related; if it was, from "basking in the cloud" as you say, I'd think your hands would also be affected.

Be that as it may, be sure to exfloliate before using the lotion. (I'm sure Mrs. Still138 can explain the process, ha ha, but basically I'd suggest a gentle scrub with a loofah or rough cloth. Get rid of the flaky skin first, then use lotion.)

And yes, drink *lots* of water!

Vaping is dehydrating as you noted, but just drinking lots of liquids should keep you hydrated enough, I would think. I'd look more toward vitamins, minerals, and blood circulation issues (dirty word warning: exercise). I'd go so far as to suggest having your blood tested for proper thyroid levels, vitamin d, and a few others. Depending on your insurance, that can be a little expensive, but it's very good info to know, and on a regular blood test, they screen for cholesterol and precious little else.

Meanwhile, get some vg and creamy baby oil (walmart and other sources). Rub on the vg then the creamy baby oil. Much better than lotion, because most of the lotions contain alcohol. If you have any vg left over, toss in some nic and vape it lol. :vapor:

Hey still, you never said what type if juice you were using. I would guess pg, at high levels. It is extremely Drying to me. It drys the moisture out of your mouth and the body is like a sponge it will pull it out of the surroundingTissues as well. Face lips. Vg is more Moisturizing rather than drying. Switch to 100% vg or close to it and your problems will go away. .. And you don't have to drink a half gallon of water a day to make it through.

So if your dry, skin throat lungs, cut the pg go more vg. if your too moist, or have heavier lungs go more pg.

I vape 100 vg and work outside near Chicago, surprisingly I have hardly had dry Skin at all even my hands which it crazy I haven't even used lotion at all.

When summer time rolls around 100 vg gets to be a little much with the humidity in the air so I add a little pg, up to 20% to cut the moisture. I can t handle much more than that in an adv.

VG is really moisturizing, in fact, that's usually the factor contributing to the vaping zits. Don't forget to avoid caffeine and soda - they will work against any water you are drinking.

^^^ exactly.. You have to Tailor your vape to your body and its signals. Once you do you'll be In vape heaven. Lol.

I have had the opposite. My skin is oiler and I have experienced painful acne on my face since starting Vaping.
We all react differently.

That has come up with a couple people I know as an adverse reaction to PG. When they switched to 100 VG liquids the acne problems disappeared.

Thank you all... clinque and I are gonna be friends I guess... :/

Hey, I won't tell if you won't.;) I'm a girl and I hate putting anything on my face but I have to use lotion for my eczema. I've had extremely to the nth degree dry skin my entire life. Hope you skin feels better soon! Drinks lotsa water.:)

Edit: Oddly enough I have had no adverse reactions to vaping. And I rarely drink more that a bottle of water a day. I love my Pepsi too much.

Ears are connected to your throat and nose.

Please post the juices your using.

Australia is awesome man hope to visit there some day.
You want me to list all the juices I vape?.. you'll need to stand back and give me some room. I've got a lot.
However, right at the moment, I have a Reo Grand with a blend of unflavored, menthol and green apple in it.
And another Reo with a NET tobacco from Heather's Heavenly vapes.
    50/50 6mg.
