Tis the season to share our scary stories...
Late at night standing on the back deck enjoying all the mountains and everything lit up by the milky way that runs across my property.. just peaceful as always my dogs enjoying the cool night air laying quietly around me.
Out of no- where every dog I had jumped upped lunged forward in the same direction as each other hackles up barking insanely towards the direction of my barn. When I followed their gaze.. I saw my shadow on the side of the barn and snickered at the silly dogs..
Thought I would be funny and mess with them a little by moving my shadow .. So I raised both my arms up above my head and waved them up and down.. But the shadow didn't move, baffled I looked over my shoulder at the yard light a distance behind me and thought it was in the right place of hitting me.. So I waved my arms again and still the shadow on the side of the barn remained still.. I looked down at my feet and saw my shadow on the ground from the yard light behind me , when I raised my arm the shadow on the ground moved also raising it's arm.. A huge heavy feeling swelled up in my chest... as I looked at the motionless shadow on the barn..
Called the dogs to collect them up to get back in the house... Never again has there ever been a shadow on the barn ... or any light that would produce one when I tried
