@NolaMel, have you ever taken Catdog fishing? Seems like she'd be a natural.
She has ZERO hunting/cat instincts. I think she’d agree with my youngest on fishing... hot, smelly and boring lol. Catdog would probably like lounging in a swimming pool though.

You could get her a foot spa, if she wasn't so big ;)
She has a “foot spa“... I just happen to call it a bathtub.
Y’all crack me up. I can’t get the image of Catdog on a pool float wearing sunglasses and a floppy hat out of my brain. I’m not going to mention it to HER, or she’ll be demanding THAT next.

This what a bad cat looks like. Gets up in the middle of the night and breaks into the cat treats. Polished off one full bag and ate half of the other. He drug them down the hall and into the alcove by the hall bathroom to do this. The funny part is, all day long I have been catching him back at the scene of the crime looking for his loot. Of course I picked it up when I woke up and discovered it. He seems offended that his stash is gone.Joe is supposed to be dieting so I do not leave food in the cats bowls over night. Now I will have to put the cat treats back into a glass container as I had to do years ago.

I kind of love that cat.
I love Joe so much, he is my guy. If I get down to his level and talk to him and then ask him for a kiss, he will head .... my head. If I rattle the bag of treats and ask him to wave bye-bye, he will. He even got to where he could stand up and wave bye-bye but then he got a little older and gained weight. The standing up to wave bye-bye is not what it used to be. Sort of a wobble. I will see if I can get a good pic of this today. I taught him this with whipped cream on a spoon and he probably would have learned to stand on his head if I would have been willing to teach as he loves cream and attention so much. He has always had just tons of personality,

I rented a home for a year while looking for the one I am in now. During that year the neighborhood was not that safe, fast driving cars on roads with hills and curves. Joe had to stay inside for a year. He got lazy and fat. He is also 12 years old. Very healthy but the vet did scare me when he talked about how now is the time for him to lose a pound or two to prolong his life

I asked Joe to pose so I could show some friends his tricks. He was reluctant but he did oblige. I could not get him to stand and wave, I can when he is down on the floor but my back and knees prevent me from getting on the floor with him at the moment. Here he is doing his best. Of course he was rewarded with treats for his photo shoot.
