She is a very beautiful girl. I just wish she had Abby as a companion.

In a weird cosmic way, she does

Luna never used to grab my feet or my toes. After 3 weeks with me, she started ;)
Now every time she does that, I know it's Abby saying hello

Wonder what’s causing all these half dog half cats to be born all over ?

    I've figured it out :D

I think we may have discovered how she hit 20 pounds before we got her. Snagged a rotisserie chicken yesterday

Mel's catdog grew up on chicken. My catdog Luna and I live on a free range egg farm - which has over 1500 chickens

    thanks so much Bob.
Got to just get this done and get back home healthy!
I’ll have you in my prayers, especially tomorrow. We’ll all be happy when you’re back, all healthy and happy! Probably not as much as your fur babies will miss you, but we will!

I'm surprised. I would've thought they'd be ripping them off instantly.*

And I feel sorry for all those dogs being laughed at, even though I understand the laughter. Dogs get embarrassed so easily.

    * I bet Georgia would.
My Georgia? Yeah I tried... couldn’t even get one on. She took off with it and I had to give her Beggin’ strips to get it back. I really think Stitch (LILO and Stitch) was based on a Frenchie.

They are Sassy ( with a capital S ;)). Oldest has wanted one for ages. A lady brought hers into the clinic for a first checkup on puppies (father unknown). Of course, she fell in love and HAD to have one. Turns out the sneaky Jack Russell next door was the culprit. So, she now has a frenetic, whirling dervish, sassy, wiggle .... dog

Yup, your Georgia. I knew she'd have no truck with those things.

My nephew raised JRTs for a while. He’s in his 40s but super hyper. Only adult I know who can wear out a pack of Jacks lol.

I stopped at the vet’s to pick up Rudy’s pills and met the cutest little old pug. He just came up to me like he’d known me all his life, wagging his whole ..... Made my day.

I’m off to get some shut eye. Looks like I’ll be shoveling in the morning. It’s coming down hard.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Modern medicine is amazing. I walked into the hospital at 9am Tuesday and wheelchaired out on Wednesday at 11am. Surgery was 3 hours long and harder than expected due to my having a small chest cavity.
I was super scared, I have had a lot of surgeries with no fear but this had me crying like a baby. They went in laparoscopically, cut the lung so as to remove the cancer part of it. Somehow had a bag in there with their tools, bagged it all up, including two lymph nodes and then removed it all. That bag will go to pathology to make sure there are no cancer cells in the lymph nodes. If not I am done. If so, I will do chemo. The pain was there for sure, especially while coughing. Still is, thankfully I can just stay medicated for a few days. I was able to leave if I could walk the whole floor section of where I was, a little trip around 2 nurse stations. I did it a few times with a walker and then did it without the walker. I have one of those lung toys type things that I blow into to get my lung functions up.
This all amazes me because I only found out in the beginning of January and it is done and taken care of in the beginning of February.
This diagnosis was for sure my worst fear realized. Short of the loss of a loved one. So it was here and now it is gone.
PLease, any of you, all of you that smoked go get that early detection scan of your lungs.
I will copy and paste this in the shinyitis thread for those that do not come to the animal thread.
THanks all. I am going to seriously practice gratitude from here on out. I will be nice even to the people I have on the ignore slot. LOL

@chanelvaps its so good to see your post first thing today! Sounds like it went as well as can be hoped for, and I will keep my fingers crossed those lymph nodes are clear.

I’m ashamed to admit, I haven’t had a lung scan. Me, of all people. But I could not seem to keep my insurance sorted, either had none, had some that was inexplicably canceled, or had some that didn’t cover any facilities within 100 miles. But I swear I’ll make an appointment ASAP.

Wishing you a speedy recovery and blue skies ahead.
