Gratuitous cute baby animal pic (belongs to a neighbor, who posted it in our neighborhood forum to bring :):) in the midst of this mess).

I let one of the cats inside during the wee hours this morning without checking to be sure she wasn't carrying, and she slipped a mouse past me. She lost control of it during the obligatory torture ritual, but I can hear that it must just have rashly ventured out, because loud thumps and pathetic squeaks are emanating from the kitchen.

Wait . . . the squeals have stopped and crunching has begun.

RIP mouse.

Kudos to cat for catching the interloper!!! Better than a loose mouse in the house.
My brother’s cat brought a very frisky chipmunk in once. It was madly flying around the walkout basement. My SIL freaked out, refused to do laundry, and locked all three cats down there, yelling at them that they couldn’t come back upstairs until they caught it. We were cry-laughing at her hysterics, cats were looking at her like she was crazy. Better than when his boa escaped its tank. She left and went home to her Mom’s when he couldn’t immediately locate it. I had to drive over from mom’s to help him find it.

Mice are better than bats. I've had a few of those in here. My dearly departed Mitchell once did a most amazing vertical leap to snag one out of the air.

And then there was the time one of the dogs chased a skunk inside . . .
I think I’d take a mouse over the other two options! Catdog is seriously unmotivated. The only thing I’ve ever seen her chase is himself. She’s an odd one, not like any cat I’ve ever had.

I love her.

Many years ago, my parents had a cat whose favorite prey was frogs. She would slip outside at dawn, snatch one, and haul it upstairs to torment and consume under my bed. Many's the morning I'd awake to the sound of frenzied flopping beneath me. It was disconcerting.

My bunnies are getting jealous of these other cute animals ;)

I like this little guy at my work. He’s super friendly and will come right up and take food from my hand and even put his paws on my shins to look up at me.

He’s getting old though by the looks of it. Much slower than the rest of the bunnies.

Enjoying some sun

It’s coming. We have less cases than NY, but a higher % per population. Everything here is closed except groceries, pharmacies and banks. They’re still allowing restaurants to do delivery or curbside. We’ll see how long that lasts. Stay safe and healthy, Sloth. Everyone not in an infected area, just stay home please. I need y’all healthy and happy, for your own good and my sanity
Indeed friend. I'm so glad we have this space and can be here for each other. I succeeded - we're shutting down. Tomorrow I have a lot of calls to make. Been a long day.

Extra bunny and other animal pics, please! Here, I'll contribute:

Your baby picture ;)! What a cutie
They’ve shut down dentists offices now. Apparently, my local usps misunderstood that they weren’t included... they seem to be awol again today. Too frequently, I wish I could slap the lazy out of them. But this is ridiculous. People are counting on mail/packages since they can’t get out for stuff. Day 2 for mystery package to not get here :(

More bunnies did I see written somewhere? Okay here you go:)

Right now, the more cheery bunny pics and videos, the better. If y’all are like me.... a little apprehensive, a lot cabin fevery, and super duper tired of the virus news 24-7 on tv. I need happy distractions. So, a huge thank you from me! I’m so looking forward to them every day.
