Saw one of sassys first babies come out of the nest for a minute tonight just before bed feeding them their bedtime snack . It was told to go back in the nest though by momma haha

It was pure white albino with red eyes. So cute :)
There’s your confirmation they all came from domesticated/pet bunny stock. White bunnies with red eyes (if I recall correctly) were selectively bred for lab use originally, then moved to include the pet market.

People were looking amazed lol

animals are very instinctive,, if he wants you,, you need to take him home.

and always be glad when animals want to live near you,, they seek out clean areas..... except rats..you dont want rats,, their dry poop could really do you harm.

as a kid on the farm,, toads,, bugs etc,, farmers always want to know when deformed frogs appear,, their bodies are something like 1 level more sensitive than ours to the environment. (i wouldnt doubt lizards are the same--we have lots of lizards here in texas,, and yes my husband has some questionable nick names for them :)

I already have too many bunnies :(

I don’t know. It wouldn’t be smart. Especially now the vet won’t neuter my bunnies or anything because of the pandemic. They say you can’t tell what sex they are till 12 weeks they don’t start in till then but I’m not even sure In another 4 weeks if I’ll be able to get them neutered.

He has meals from me everyday and I could make him a home to sleep in. Still he is prey out here so I worry.
I wish I had a huge farm and money for my own rabbit rescue .

I wish you had your own rabbit island.

Worrying news about the sexing and neutering. It would be awful if the babies started having babies.

You can only rescue what you can afford to care for. Don't feel bad  he is getting food from you now, and that would be making a huge difference to his life.

Yea i know . It’s insane how paranoid people are. Won’t even do surgery on a rabbit.

What am I supposed to do? Drop the babies on their front door? Drown them all? Set them free to fend for themselves?
God I don’t want that on my life
