Cheddar had a bacterial infection. She is doing better but not well enough to come home. Colby is bored without his playmate and got his vaccines today. He also got listed up for adoption.

Wasn't there someone who was interested in adopting them both, @chanelvaps?
no that was the other two ferals that were brought to me. My neighbor has them. She is fostering and hopes to adopt both if she can convince her fiance. lol

Ah, gotcha.

I wish Cheddar and Colby could stay together, too.

IN about another 4-5 days they will not even remember each other. Colby was very attached to Cheddar. Cheddar was getting sick and not really noticing. Colby is highly adoptable because he is sweet and playful. Cheddar is because she is an orange girl. Rare. You already knew that. They forget their siblings once they become independent. But I know, I always wished for that too. Just rarely have seen it happen

I know they forget each other quickly. There's also no guarantee that they would've continued to like each other when they grew up. My Mitchell and Cruz, for example, barely tolerated each other as adults. And, while my two current girls, Rose and Smith, are very good friends, their brother and sister, whom my mother adopted, don't have much time for each other.

Still, it would've been nice if the Cheeses could've stayed together.

They obviously love and trust you. Thank you for what you do for them!

One of the homeless bunnies named grumpy seems to have a large tumour under his chin :( so sad I don’t know what to do . He’s such a good bunny too he comes running to me for food when he sees me in the distance.

Don’t know if I could get him help without paying tons to a vet for a feral rabbit.

He seems in good spirits still bunnies are tough they don’t show pain until it’s unbearable and they are close to death because they are prey animals that need to look healthy to survive.

This may not help any (and I think your vet's prices are ridiculous) but we have a doe that's been coming around for a number of years that has a similar "tumor." Gets huge by late summer and then bursts. Doesn't seem to bother her too much but it has to hurt. When it bursts it turns into a bloody hole but heals up relatively quickly and the rinse and repeat the next summer. Hopefully it's something like that and not a hard lumps that will keep on getting so big it disables the little guy.

Anna, glad the little one came back!
