Shipping from Canada?

I recently bought a few GG's from a dude that lives in Canada, and I've been stalking the tracking for four days. No updates other than the initial "Accepted at Post Office" from the 27th.

I know GG collectors buy stuff from all over the world, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with shipping from Canada. Does their tracking system not update like that, or is my package just sitting in some Canadian post office? How long, on average, should it take to get from Edmonton to Atlanta? What's your experience with Canada Post?

My tracking always works on the expresspost Canadian site. It took around 5-7 days

Yeah last item I bought from Canada took a day or 2 to update but otherwise tracked like normal untill us customs accepted it then it tracked on USPS like normal.

Well, it's been four days now and no update besides it's acceptance. Did some reading and found this info on Canada Post tracking that might help others:

How Track Works
Our tracking system is updated daily to provide you with the most current information available about the location and status of your item.
If your item was mailed within Canada, you'll be able to find out:
When your order was created in our system
When your item was received by Canada Post
When your item was delivered, or:
When a Delivery Notice Card was issued to notify the recipient that the item is available for pick-up
If your item was mailed to the USA or internationally, you'll be able to find out:
When your order was created in our system
When your item was received by Canada Post
When your item left Canada and when it was accepted by a foreign postal administration
When your item was delivered, or:
When a Delivery Notice Card was issued to notify the recipient that the item is available for pick-up

Looks like Canda Post doesn't provide you with any information between acceptance and delivery. Luckily I'll be able to track as normal as soon as it reaches the US. Freaking Canucks. LoL.

Update:: My package got sent to the Canadian post office on 8/26/11 and I got it today 8/31/11, that's pretty fast shipping from Canada.

2011/08/31 06:20 20164,USA Item has been received at the delivery office in the destination country
2011/08/28 04:20 International item arrived in destination country
04:00 International shipment has arrived in the destination country
2011/08/27 07:35 VANCOUVER International item has left Canada
2011/08/26 12:32 COURTENAY Item accepted at the Post Office

I'm a little concerned for one reason: The guy I bought from actually sent out TWO packages. The first with a GGTS, a GGTB, and an AVS, and the second with the AVS 510 connector... The shipping for the second, sent two days ago, has two entries: Received by Post Office, and Processed by Post Office. The first only has Received by Post Office... At what point do I need to ask the seller to look into it?

Did you send the paypal as "goods' and not 'gift'?? I would wait it out a couple more days and see if anything shows up on the site and also if anything shows up at your door. Take a breather, most of the time people overreact and think about it too much and expect the worst. Hopefully everything is okay and you will get your packages and might I say that is going to be like Christmas opening up. Very nice PV's and the AVS is a great addition to the GGTS.

I'm not at all concerned about the seller. Guy's been great about staying in contact. I'm more concerned about the Canadian PO.

Yep, PP sent as Goods, though, so if anything does go wrong I've got a backup. Of course, I've been talking like USPS tracking is reliable, and we all know it's not. I've had things show up in my mail when the tracking said they were still in Cali that morning!

I would check the Canadian post's website for their policy on when to report list packages. The uk post is 15 business days I believe

It depends also on the method they sent it, I bought some GGTS's (3) from a guy in Canada, he sent it priority and it took a good 2 weeks to get to Chicago.

Ah, ok Chaos, my english again hahaha. But thats not a problem, I will put 4x18650 batteries inside a GGTS and I will put a new cap on it with one big centered venting hole. I will put it in a 45 degrees angle and I will short the batteries. GGTS will come to you in about 1 hour as I see it

That is still messing with the past if you go into the future and bring back the information from the future to the present that is past of the future... get it?
