I ordered my first e-cig from Totally Wicked (a DSE-901) and was very satisfied. When I lost my e-cig, I figured it was time to get another, so I got the TITAN, which was a vast improvement over the DSE-901 in my opinion. Whenever people ask me about my e-cig, I refer them to totally wicked. My girlfriend and I dig their coconut flavor, although we really only tried tobacco, watermelon, and coconut. The craziest thing I find about smoking e-cigs is that cigarette smokers don't think the tobacco flavor really tastes like tobacco. When I switched back after losing my DSE-901, I discovered that the tobacco flavor is accurate, but most of what you get when you smoke a cigarette is just a burning flavor, and the flavor of the tobacco just comes as an after taste. It really shows how bad cigarettes are all-around.
Anyways, I decided last week to take advantage of their sale and order 5 manual batteries, 5 atomizers, and 10 cartridges. My logic behind this was that when people come over, a lot of my friends are broke NYC college students. A pack of cigarettes are 10 bucks around where I live, so I thought it would be nice to have a few extra e-cigs around for when people come over. And, of course, having spare parts if something dies is definitely convenient. I also ordered an extra mains charger.
I got a padded envelope yesterday. I left it aside because I had to continue building furniture for my new apartment. After I was done, I opened the envelope and discovered not what I ordered, but rather a tiny bottle of black walnut extract and a usb passthrough. That and my receipt for what I did not receive.
So today I called up, and they said they were going to ship out my actual order. They called back and said that the shipping label had the correct weight, so I have to ship back what I received and they'll throw in an extra battery to cover the cost of shipping it back (although a USB passthrough would be nicer, since I have one at work one at home would be nice
).
I just remembered that I have literally no money. My girlfriend and I were going to live off what we have in the fridge and wait until my next paycheck (wednesday after next). Luckily I'm a contact juggler, so I should be able to make a couple bucks off of the tourists in Times Square
Hopefully this will be sorted out. I still dig totally-wicked, and I think every web-based company that relies on shipping has slip-ups once in a while. But the real test of a company's merit is how they handle issues like this. I'll keep you guys updated
