Hi Guys n Gals,

I'm a long time GV customer, and simply love Hush. For a while now your shipping seems to take an extra day. Not too long ago I would get regular first class mail deliveries from GV in 1-2 days here in Florida, but now Express Mail is 2 Days. Now as well, Priority is taking the full three days, and First class 3-4 days. I also know this is not Gotvapes fault, so this is not so much a complaint but more of a request.

As a Shipping and Logistics Pro for many years now there are a number of ways to offer improvements. 1. Offer a Fedex Express option, contact a Fedex Express sales rep and have him come up with a rate plan based on your total shipping volume for both express and ground shipments. They do not hold you to this volume no matter how little your actual Fedex shipping turns out to be, at least I have never seen it and I worked for Fedex Express for many years. The worst they will is change your rates to match the actual, but this is very very rare. 2. Contact USPS sales, explain the delay and ask for 2nd pickup, earlier in the day for express/priority shipments or a dedicated single pickup. This depends on whether your pickup courier is delayed in returning to the station, or scheduled late because of your volume. There are other options as well, depending on your local USPS facility and your needs.

I'd be glad to help/consult in any way I can, my experience can really help you improve things. Would be glad to do it and in the process improve the buying experience at GV for everyone. Shipping can be very complex, and sometimes a simple change can make a huge difference in efficiency.

Thanks for listening, Daniel PM me
Rob

Hey,

Yes I know it's not your fault/ I have been working in shipping Logistics since 2004, here is what is happening. Even though USPS is picking up at its normal time, they no longer process your shipments same day. A few months ago, packages were making to Houston, the very same day of pickup, but now it's the following day. For some reason USPS is not waiting for your packages before their truck(s) depart for houston, or they have some reason why this truck(s) are leaving earlier. I'm like 99% sure that should you arrange an earlier pickup daily, by let's say 1 hour, this will solve your problem. This is why I was saying to contact a sales rep and ask for a slightly earlier pickup, or a dedicated 2nd pickup for just express and priority shipments. This really depends on your daily volume, but if you explain the issue to your courier or sales rep, they may be able to find a solution to this problem.

Basically you need to find out what time your local post offices last truck departs for the houston sort facility, and adjust your daily cutoff time accordingly to make this truck. Until this is done, all your packages are going to take an extra day for delivery.

I am just about tier 5 VIP, so I have looked at many shipments, but here is the comparison....

I have checked many older shipments of mine and they all arrived in Houston the very same day as pickup.....until recently. now they all arrive the following day.

Thanks again

HI Rob I have not had time to PM you but you can contact me through Max at igotvapes.com- this is the best way!

Anyway - I audit our shipping from time to time and we do still have incredible turn aorund times for the industry. I am very much happy with the team we have here in Houston on the USPS side.

Just this morning I packed an order from a guy that said his last priority shipment took a week and he wanted to make sure this one went out right away. So I double checked because I was going to bring it up to my local Post Master in Sugar Land and find out if there have been any recent personnel problems. When I checked his order he was referring to he had made the order on a Monday holiday (2nd of September) so it naturally went out the next day (now even the fact it was sent that fast after a holiday weekend is a pat on our back as holiday weekend volumes are very high and it can take a couple of days to get all packages out, but usually not here from the Sugar Land Express - I make sure normally to get EVERYTHING out by goal even if I have to make an extra late trip to the Post Office). Come to find out, I check his tracking and it went out the third as normal (because Post Office doesn't work national holidays like Labor Day) and he had it delivered to the east coast in two days, the fifth. That's at least the USPS goal if not one day quicker.

FedEx? Great Company. But a bit more expensive than the universal not-for-profit rates you get from the USPS and I do not see them outperforming the USPS from here in Houston. USPS delivers on Saturday for no extra charge, that's huge for many people, saves two days on many packages sent on a Wednesday or later in the week. WE may add a FedEx option in the future, have to see how the logistics would work out but please contact Max at igotvapes.com so I can get your contact information on record! I'd appreciate any direction you can give me in setting up a shipper acct with them.

It looked like on your first link you gave (thank you for linking this) there simply was a glitch with the Post Office on that- it went to North Houston processing facility and somehow got sent back to the local post office and it was delayed a day or so.

Second link was normal processing.

We have a pickup every day that has worked well since we started shipping from here in June of 2012. There are times I even make a second trip to get extra packages out before their last truck leaves at 7PM from the Sugar Land post office. Normally everything that goes out that same day by carrier pick up or personal delivery down to the facility gets processed and sent out that night from the Priority racks at the USPS. Having worked there for 13 years I know how they 'prioritize' personnel to make sure the priority area is always covered!
