A swap Shockwave number thread for those who would like a specific #

(David, if you don't want a thread for this please delete. I just thought it would make it easier since I am obviously not the only one with number issues).

OK I'll start. Would really like # 13 (surprise). Since I was a kid I couldn't stand certain numbers, even turned down great lofts if the house number wasn't "right". Therefore, if the one who will recieve #13 (order# 11296) and doesn't have such a number phobia as I do (was born Friday the 13th, however, I know a lot of people don't like 13, hence I'm hoping) would like to trade maybe we could work out a deal (my Shockwave is polished). So, dear 11296 if you read this and are semi sane, meaning you couldn't care less what # you get please pm me.

You would run the risk of the finish being ever so slightly different, polished probably wouldnt be noticeable but the satin finish has a wide range of finishes. Still a decent idea though.

There are many things that can't be explained rationally and some people may be more in tune with those kinds of things. You could just be one of those. There's no reason to change unless it prevents you from being happy.

Thinking about LadyMama's quip about celebrities, I think Johnny Depp has it.
Didja know that he is responsible for me vaping? I never had any desire to quit smoking. I tried vaping because Johnny Depp's cool and I saw him vape. I wish I knew. Tried to match the order # in Siouxie's list with David's but he/she never gave out info (may not even be a member here). I've heard somebody cancelled their order, does that mean we all get a different number or is my logic completely off and it only applies if the person had a # higher up than mine ?

I'd think that we *might* get the same number if somebody cancelled at this point. If I'm right, the units may be numbered right now (or many of them) waiting to get shipped. These numbered switches probably belong to a specific unit which is finished a certain way. If numbers started switching around then that would cause havoc with matching up the finish choice people made. So if at this ungodly point somebody cancelled I'd think David would just announce "hey people, I have a satin/polished ShockWave available" and sell it.

First, you can't just switch the bottom master on/off switch, i also engraved the number on the top cap and body(out of sight on the inside) very small, almost can't see it, but its there.

Second, don't remove the bottom master on/off switch unless absolutely necessary, the way it goes in is indexed to the slots, detent ball and threads. Take it out and you'll not get it back in without much pain cursing and probably thread damage. Both the bottom and top switch assembly take a watchmakers hand to assemble, so don't say i didn't warn you! Plus, there is no reason to remove the bottom switch ever!

Third, if someone were to cancel an order, it wouldn't effect your number. Numbers are assigned and thats what you'll get, no changing at this point in time.

Thank you for the clarification David, I did send you an e mail. I have never taken a mod apart (beside a top cap to clean) and I certainly won't start doing so now, especially with a Shockwave since I don't see a reason to do so.

Alright Silver, my offer is that if you can not find anyone else to swap you, then I will swap you, but my stipulation is that we do not even open our packages, we just relabel them and send them off to each other.
