About a month ago I got a starter kit (my first ecig). It came with a few Stardusts, a couple replaceable atomizers, and a Vision Spinner 1100mAh battery. I love pretty much everthing about it and the battery is amazing, however these Stardusts suck (and they have the Vision logo on them so they are not knock-offs). They worked fine for the first few weeks but now the flavor isn't coming through as much (does this mean I have to replace that atomizer thing with the wicks?) and these things leak badly, I have to wipe it off a few times a day between the part where it screws into the battery. It only takes like 5 seconds but it's annoying how I have to do it so often. The measurements on the side go up to 1.6ml, but I suspect that it leaks because you fill it up to there (where it touches where the wicks are attached) so I started filling it up to 1.4ml, giving plenty of airspace so it doesn't leak into the holes. I always keep it vertical so there is no way it can leak but it STILL does and it's getting frustrating. I'm not sure which Stardust model I have (it is rebuildable, has the replaceable wicks/atomizer things, and has long wicks). So I'm left with two choices: Either get a model that looks "better" or shop for a completely different clearomizer. I found a "Stardust" made by a different company. It's called the Bauway CE4 Clearomizer and seems like an updated version of the Vision's design and goes for about the same price as a normal Vision Stardust. You can also use your own drip tip. My second option is why I came here, I have no idea where to look or what clearomizer to get, the pros and cons, etc. Also, my wife has a clearomizer but it has the cartomizer in the middle that sucks the liquid from the tank from holes on the bottom of it, but I tend to like the wicks better because I feel I can taste more flavor in them.
So here are my questions:
1. What do you think of the Bauway CE4 Clearomizer and do you think it's something worth trying out?
2. What clearmizer do you have or what do you recommend, any pros and cons on it? I don't want to spend a bunch of money on one since I'm a little short on money at the moment, but I also don't want to get something cheap and crappy and have to replace it every month.
3. Kind of off topic: What tip material do you recommend? I really want to try a glass one and there are adapters online for like $2 where you can use custom tips on your clearomizer.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice. I'm quite new to this so if I used the wrong terminology on anything, my apologies.

Hey there! Sorry you're having a hard time with clearos but many of us aren't fond of them as well but here's my take..,
1. No I purchased about 8 if these when I first got started & they leaked which drove me crazy. But many CE4 type clearos have this problem & not just these so it's kinda the luck of the draw & with these my luck was pretty bad
2. I'd probably try the viva novas which was my next step after the CE4's but if you're willing I'd go for a carto tank. I've been using these for the last couple of weeks & love them! After you buy a couple all you need are the cartos & you can usually get 1-2 weeks out of a carto once you get the hang of priming them. The downside to the viva novas for me was that they somewhat muted the flavor of my juice.
3. I got my first glass one & I like it a lot. I'm not sure but it seems like the juice even tastes better. I don't know if that's possible though or if its all in my mind.
Hope this helps! I'm sure you'll get more suggestions soon!

Thanks alot. If I didn't find anything I was planning on getting a ViVi Nova. Where do you get yours from? I've also seen something called the Texas Tuff Tank which looks somewhat similiar to the Nova except it gets refilled from a hole on the side. That's one of the reasons I want to try a glass tip because I've heard the flavor comes through pure instead of being "masked" by plastic, metal, whatever you use, however, the cheapest one I found was like $20.

I really like the iClear 16 and iClear 30's, do a YouTube search and check out the reviews.

It's really a matter of taste... some people swear by Vivi Nova's, some people like tanks with cartos, others like the iClear's.

I can tell you that the two iClears I've used for a few weeks now (one an iClear 16, the other an iClear 30) haven't leaked a drop, and provide amazing flavor and vapor!

Good luck! (Search YouTube.... I find actually SEEING a tank, or a mod, gives me a much better idea of if it's something that I think I'll like or not)

The Texas tuff tank is a cartotank. You'll find several places that sell those but I got my first one from valley vapes. I don't use anything except for cartotanks now! Love them! I got my viva novas from high desert vapes but just about all the vendors sale them as well. For a ego type batt I'd probably get the slim ones. You should be able to find them pretty easily at madvapes, ikenvape etc... Yeah the glass tips do cost a pretty penny. You could also try the metal or steel ones to. I'd think they would perform better than the plastic ones.

Same experience with the Iclear 16, great vapor production and flavor!
I have to admit, if I hadn't been able to try it at a local shop, I would have never given them a shot as I'm trying to stay away from the flavor of the month in clearomizers and cartos. My wallet is getting a little tired of the abuse!

I've got a Kanger Pro-tank I'm looking forward to trying. It's the same principle as a Kanger bottom, only in tank form. Lately, I have been loving my carto tank. Regarding the Bauway, for whatever reason, these are THE best clearos in the stardust category. Truer taste, tons of vapor, and the thing vapes like a freight train. I got mine for $2.99 from @ Smart vapes. I thought for that price, they were worth a shot. Bought 8, and glad I did. Sometimes the simplicity of fill and go is nice. Plus, if they burn out, you got a drip tip you can use later. Win/win. Just don't forget to wet the wicks every once and again.

I guess I would be a bottom coil fan seeing that I absolutely love my Evods(I have six of them) and brand new Protank both from Kanger. I absolutely hate the Iclear 30(gurgling and really tight draw) and the vivi nova(inconsistency with some good hits and dry hits). My Evods and Protank consistently works all the time and I feel has the best flavor, vapor and smoothest draw. You can get Evods for about $5-$7 and a 5 pack of replaceable heads for between $6-$7 from various vendors. The Protank has a glass tank and is basically the bigger brother of the Evods as they use use the same type of replaceable heads(slightly different top post to fit the bigger tank).
