so the inside of my first kit said some stuff about metal things in your pocket being able to short out the battery? does this really happen a lot? and with what metal objects? i will be getting the 808 from v4l. sunlight?

and what about hot and cold? i know hot hot is bad, lol but how hot? and if i get a passthru, and use that in the car (great idea i thought!), can i LEAVE the passthru in the car in our indiana weather? we can hover around zero F in the dead of winter.

THANKS ALL, HAPPY SUNDAY

A hard-sided sunglass case to put your batteries, carts, cartos, 3-mL juice bottle, etc..
keeps the stray metal objects away. :) Although I can't say I've seen very many posts
complaining about this happening frequently.

Regarding temperature, anything electrical / electronic works better at normal room temp.
Think about the last time you started your car at -10 F, (come on baby turn over, you
can do, come on.......YES, that's what I'm talking about )

When I carry extra batts I put a rubber cover (from the cartomizer) on the threaded end of the batt, to protect against the slightest possibility that the shorting issue is true. This also prevents dust, dirt, liquid, from getting inside the battery. I have batts that the outsides are scratched up but work perfectly. I carry my assembled 808 in a scrub top pocket, with scissors, pens, cell phone, every time I work, and have had no shorting problems.

I have left my e-cig in a hot/cold car for short periods of time. The only thing I noticed was that the juice doesn't like the cold, it doesn't wick as well.

I don't have the answer to all your questions, but I hope this helps. Enjoy.

I've never heard of metal things shorting out your batteries. I carry my PV in my front purse pocket with my keys all the time. As far as temps go, when it's cold out my PV doesn't work as well and the juice kind of loses it's flavor. Once it warms up it starts working normally. I haven't used my PT in my car yet, but if I did it would either come with me or go in the center console or glove box when I wasn't driving no matter what the weather.

My wife and I both use Case Logic 6 Capacity USB Flash Drive Shuttle > CD Organization > Case Logic that we got at WalMart or someplace like that. Right now its open on my desk and it contains 1 atty, 1 cart, 3 cartos, 2 charged 14500 batteries, and an extra drip tip. I still have room for 4 more cartos, and with a little careful jockeying i can add up to 45ml of juice in 15ml bottles.

Jess carries extra 510 batteries in hers too, you just have to turn them so the switches face away from the other battery so they don't fire. by accident.

It is a cheap and easy way to have a "go bag" that should get you through a full day or mores worth of vaping. If i had a larger mod than my BB I could probably cut back on the juice bottles and place an extra battery lengthwise in the folder, but then again you can always get a bigger case too.
