Hello everyone. My first e-cig (DSE901) should be here any minute. I got a start kit, with 2 attys, 2 batteries, and 5 carts. Also 10ml of e-juice. My question is, from when I open the box to when I take my first drag, what can I do to make my first "smoke" as good as possible? Should I make sure that my batteries are 100% charged? Clean anything? I've heard of blowing out attys but I don't know what this means.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Put a drop of fluid on the atty, probably (after blowing out the primer... see below). I didn't, and I had a great first vape, but the primer drop has become part of my routine since.

Nah, put one on the charger and use the other one til it dies. I'd let the charging one charge all the way (until the light turns green, so long as there's a light).

Blow into the battery end of the atomizer. Three short burst, then see how much fluid comes out. Repeat until you feel good about it... 3-4 times or so. You'll still have a little primer taste, but it will go away faster. Since it's your first vape, you might not even know the difference.
Last tips: Read the directions. They make you feel knowledgeable. Don't listen to the battery charging instructions. If the vapor starts tasting like crap, top off your cart and maybe put another primer drop on the bridge of the atty. The inside of your atty should look somewhat moist. If it doesn't, it's too dry. Immediately look into a cart filler mod. I use blue foam, and it's the best so far. Anything by Kristin or Scottyballs is widely regarded to be useful.
Good luck!

BTW, all of this info is based on my experience with a 510.

jdg: I'm expecting delivery of my first e-cig kit later this morning, and your suggestions to the OP are helpful to me as well. Umm, since this is the New Member's Forum, can you help me out with the blue foam thing? And, you refer to Kristin and Scottyballs ... ?? Members? Web sites? Sorry, I'm a noob.
