So I spent 2 days gleaning info from the forums and finally committed to ditchin the analogs. With the wealth of information this community has put out, I decided to go DIY from the start. Ordered some Nic juice syringes, pippettes, empty bottles and other supplies from different sites. For flavor tho my brother said that VaporBomb was Awesome, so I ordered 1/2 dozen flavors at 0mg nic.

Now for the question I should have asked but didn't cause IRNewb......

Are the VB flavors I received today good for "cutting" the 60mg Nic? Or do I need to get "concentrated flavors? and if so about how many drops per 5ml bottle? Or what % should I plug into the plethera of DIY calculators out there?

Thanx in advance for the advice

The 60mg juice you have is going to have to be cut with either PG or VG depending on whether it is PG or VG based, what the ratio of PG to VG you want to end up with, and what you want the final nic mg concentration to be when you are done. Go to this web site and download the e-juice recipe calculator - its free and very useful: eJuice Me Up - e-Juice e-Liquid Recipe Calculator - When mixing your flavoring, I would start with a 20% mixture. For great info on flavors for DIY, go here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/74109-guide-diy-flavoring.html - All of this should get you started in the right direction. I checked vapor bomb and didn't see any DIY flavorings, just finished juice. I think you already suspect the answer to your question RNH, you got the wrong stuff. If you like any of the 0 nic flavors though, you could always order some of the same flavor in a higher nic and mix down. You don't say what nic level you use so that may or may not be a good idea.

As far as how many drops per 5ml bottle, from what I've read that depends on the recipe and flavors being used. I plan to start DIYing and 20% flavor sounds to be on the high side. It may well be your final concentration, but I've seen folks recommend starting on the low side and working up. Easier to add flavor than to mix it down. Also you might make smaller test batches without nic in them just to perfect the recipe. 5ml is a lot and nic juice is more expensive than plain PG/VG.

Like Banjo said, check out the DIY forum and threads.
