Should I buy another one?

I picked up a Vamo 3 a few months ago and now I'm having issues with the firing button. Aside from the button I've been very happy with it.
I was wondering you ya'll thought. I want to buy another AVP and I found fasttech has the V2, 3, 4 and 5. Anyone here have any good reasons to buy one over the other? I'm also open to other mods but the key things I like about the Vamo is the size, VV/VM, it will take the 650 and 350 batteries and it's under $50

I have several V2 and V3. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one for replacement when needed. I like the V3 mainly for the removable top cap.

Thanks Gary, I'm leaning on the 3 (again) The 5 looks good too.. Anyone know how the first battery tube goes on? is it a press fit like the V2 or something else?

V5 is press fit, V3, both tubes screw on

What issue are you having with the firing button?

The button won't fire all the time. most of the time if I hold it right it will work. but will not have positive contact so it turns off. I was going to take it apart but I wan't a backup first. The + - button work fine and all 3 click when you press them. Thanks for the info on the 5. I think I'm going to end up with a 3.

I was having the same issue with my V3. It would always fire when held up completely straight, but when I tilted it to take a drag, it would randomly stop firing. I sent it back to FastTech because it was within the 6 month warranty period. Sent to their Florida service center November 1st, and just got an update that the replacement was shipped from China a week ago.

I've been using an itaste VV 3.0 in the mean time, and I honestly don't miss the Vamo. The only advantage the Vamo has is longer battery life. If I vaped at high wattage/voltage or used very low resistance coils I might feel differently; I use a Protank 2 at 7 watts, so zero complaints.

I'll compare the Vamo and itaste VV side by side once the Vamo gets here; I got the itaste a week after I sent the Vamo back. But I genuinely don't think there'll be a big difference. The itaste's threads are solid, which is a huge plus in my book.

JR - glad I just read this about your FT exchange. My 6 week old vamo 5 I got from them is acting up. I ordered a replacement spring this morning - if that doesnt cure it - I'm going to go thru the process of a replacement. Hope the new one works for you!

I've got multiple different mods...but by far my favorite is the vamo, never had a problem with one. I have five of them and my favorite is the version 3, I also have the version 4 and 5.

Looks like the sort of stuff where you would definitely want to have a backup before giving it a try.

Replacement control heads are available (from FT IIRC), but my recollection is that they're not all that much less expensive that a new Vamo.

I just got the Vamo 3 and liking so far. Except for the fire button rattles a lot. I only use the Vamo at home and at work I use my eGo setup.

I had both the V2 and the V3 both threads stripped within months even with me being very careful. I finally just gave up and got me another kind of mod. Hated it though cause I did like my Vamos they just wouldn't hold up.

I have 3 Vamo V2's and an Aluminum one from FT. No problems at all. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I've had a few button issues on my Vamo V2. Occasionally, when I push the button, nothing happens. If I continue to push it, maybe a little harder, it fires normally. This went on for a month or so, more of an annoyance than anything, and lately it seems to be back to normal. I was thinking maybe the switch contact was a little dirty or something.

My V1 is over a year old and the threads are still fine. My V5 threads stripped in less than 2 months. There's several fixes. An eGo/510 adapter: EGO to EGO 510 Atomizer Adapter [2104] : L Js E-Smokes, Electronic Cigarettes

Solder in a sealed 510/510 adapter (I did this with a box mod): V2 510 Shorty Extension Sealed

Replace the top cap: Vamo Body Parts

I have 2 v2's that I'm working with for over 1 year now with air flow controlers on both...no problems so far.

I've had mixed experiences with the Vamo, got a v2 and v3, the v2 I've had for at least 6 months and is still fine, but on the v3 the 510 threading wore out within a week, and now (after 2 months) the ego threading feels pretty bad, I don't expect it to last much longer.

I was happy with my first vamo, and got another, but the second wasn't as good as the first. They seem to be a little hit and miss on the threading. I don't use VV/VW much anymore, but when the 2 I've got do eventually die, I'll get another one. Had thought about an SVD, but I'm not a fan of a telescoping tube, I prefer having extra tube segments.
