Should I keep the little batteries topped up?

From my experience and some background in electronics (got an EE degree but to be honest have been in the software world for quite a while), all current battery technologies have a "memory". This means you want to discharge them as fully as possible in NORMAL use and then recharge them. Don't try shorting them or anything crazy to fully discharge them as you will likely damage them. Use your eRoll until you see the flashing and then charge it.

The manufacturers will claim this doesn't matter but my experience indicates that is not quite true.

My 2 cents

NiCad Batteries which are still used but more widely used before Li-Ion took hold will last longer if completely discharged. Li-Ion is the opposite, they will last longer if you keep them topped off, most info advises not letting them go below 3v and most regulators in modes have a cutoff around 3.2 - 3.3v.

I wouldn't go overboard, sounds like you're using a slim battery that has low voltage pertection but if you aren't going to be using it for a while it's a good idea to top it off if it's been used or even stored for a long period of time.

I was going to start a new thread but this one seems not too far OT and those knowledgeable about battery charging should be popping in here... so, here goes:

I carry two eroll PCCs and 4 batteries in a typical women's cosmetic/multi-purpose bag. Is there any charging danger if I place my eroll PCC in the bag or in my purse while its charging a battery (blue light on.) Might seem a dumb question but I just got scared about charging when someone told me NEVER to charge my other batteries in a charging bag because the charger needs air flow to stay cool. So far, I don't feel any heat coming from the PCC while its charging a battery but this is a really important question for me as I'll be using my eroll going outside of a hospital for a quick break and then returning to the hospital room. If I shouldn't charge in the bag, I can just reverse the battery in the PCC until I can safely charge it.

Edit: just thought.... I'm talking about a top off charge only... after a 5 or 10 minute vape.

I don't know if you should do this or not. What I can say is that I toss my eRoll pcc in my bag all the time while charging batteries, and also slip it into my pocket while charging. I have never had any issues.
