Should I switch to tanks?

Ahhh, I'm thinking about ordering a protank. If for no other reason than I think the appearance of the MVP with a drip tip will look crazy. Don't get me wrong I typically go for function over form, but eeeh I dunno. How long does a protank typically last? The coils I mean. I'm used to getting around a month out of an atty.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
The tip on the Protank does not come off unfortunately. And that's a JWrap - there are all sorts of prints and designs for most APVs. Leopard matches the lining of my purse :) Chick thang, right?

Protank coils completely depend on what you juice you are using, probably about 2-3 weeks. Most people get EVOD heads for them instead - seems to reduce the airy draw.

But it screwed onto the base that way - I tried it the other way and it didn't seem to work. Oh well.

Maybe the MVP threads are different. Here's how my wife's screw on.

As I understand the mod comes with 2 iclears, so I guess that will give me a pretty good idea whether or not I'm gonna like the tank system. If anyone has the iclears from itaste, how do they compare to other tanks? There are so many to choose from.

No, an Iclear will give you an idea if you like clearomizers. A true tank system is like the one mentioned by Big Lebowski and uses replaceable cartomizers inside a pyrex tube.

These are tanks.

Two totally different setups.

And depending on what blend of juices you like, two totally different flavors and levels of satisfaction.

If carto tanks came out first and were invented right here on ECF why are people calling clearomizers tanks instead of clearo tanks? It causes unnecessary confusion.

My suggestion? Try both a carto tank and a clearo tank and let us know which one you like better with your juices.

I'm on week 4 of the coil my PT came with. Rinsing it every other fill. Blister packs of 5 coils go for $5 to $10 depending where you buy them. Available in 1.5, 1.8, 2.2 & 2.5 ohms and are super easy to rebuild.

Starsandbars I would recommend a protank. I realized my former post wasn't too clear. But I get close to as good of flavor with the protank as I do dripping. The new heads are cheap and insanely easy to rebuild which brings upkeep costs to almost nothing.

Yes they are more expensive than evods iclears and the like. But that's the only reason I don't have several yet.

Stars, i haven't tried 306 atty's or carto tanks but i drip at home on my IGO-L 90% of the time and have the i16's, i30's and a couple of protanks for out and about vaping.

I like the iclear's over the protanks, it's probably the top dual coil design, but i need the protank for juice that can crack the iclear's.
I got my MVP a couple of weeks ago from FT and ordered more i16's last week, because i like the flavor and vapor production from the iclear's much more than those on the protank.

So I finally got the MVP in today. So far I'm liking it a lot. Not in love but very very happy. I figured I'd go ahead and check out one of the Iclears that it came with and so far I like it waay more than I expected. It makes the size of the MVP utterly massive compared to what I'm used to but worth it. Great flavor and TH, even a pretty warm vape. One of them seems to have no air flow once connected. I contacted ivape and I guess we'll see what happens.

One question I have though. Does the MVP charge while being used as a passthrough? I guess it would be simple to figure out but just figured I'd ask. On last thing, the MVP is heavy, very heavy. Many reviewers talk about this but I still wasn't quite prepared. Not really a con, just unexpected.

I like tanks. no issues carrying my 650mah battery and protank. though I did just order a evod to make it a little more carry friendly and at 1.5ml its more then enough for a day (for me).

the protank taste great and vapes great (if you get good heads), but rebuilding seems easy enough

my other tank is a 5ml smoke tech dc with boge f16 cartos. really like this set up as well, little to big for me to carry to work but ill rock it at home and at parties.

I use Protanks, Vivi nova, CE5-6s and carto tanks. My favorite is my carto tanks. For me it is just the smoothest vape. I am not a huge fan of the vivi nova as the hit on it feels harsh even after rebuilding it. The CE5-6s are fine for out and about but really too small and I get tired of all the tilt and swirl I have to do because of my 50/50 juices. The protank is nice, I really like the bottom coil and cooler vape.

So for me
Carto tank
Protank
CE5-6s
Vivi Nova
If I had to put them in a preference order

You'll probably get about two weeks outta one. Give or take. The coils are stupidly cheap though, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal :)

I see so much love for the Protank but i use Evods over it. The Protank lacks flavor and there is no warmth to the vape at all. If you like dripping the Protank is like complete opposite end of the spectrum, i think youd be better off with a carto tank if you were looking for something along those lines.
