Don't want to wait for it to finish, so I'm using it while it's plugged into my USB port. Will this shorten the battery life in any way?

No problem...I thought I should post in the PV discussion board, but didn't see any categories there that fit. Didn't see the other forum...there are too many! lol
It's a Pulsar 7 650mah. Not sold as an e-cig if you get me, but I realized it had 510 threading and have been using it as such for a couple months now.
Well they say on their website "Pulsar 7 can be used while plugged in."
So it functions as a passthrough.
Guess I could have checked there first lol. I have been coming here first with questions about this stuff as it's generally easier to get information. Thanks for the research. 
The only risk I would be worried about is possible damage to your computer. While probably not likely, it is a bit more expensive to fix than replacing an e-cig. A usb hub works to alleviate this.
