Should my beauty ring affect functionality?

Ive got a beauty ring on my Kanger SubTank and every now and again the coil wont fire...

but when i remove the beauty ring it fires every-time perfectly without fail.... is this normal or do i have a faulty ring?​

Ring shouldn't affect it but that doesn't mean it isn't affecting it.
If it is then something is not right. Not knowing the ring or the mod its possibly in your case the ring is too long and your not getting a good connection.

Sounds like Wolf may be right. The ring is just there to make tanks look better on certain mods and shouldn't affect the vape.

A beauty ring is cosmetic and doesn't affect a PV's performance - unless you have a something with bizarely "short" eGo threading. Any time I have ever put one into play the ring has to be screwed up toward the BCC clearo for it to touch the base of the clearo. In other words they don't exactly provide a tight fit between the eGo "thing" you are screwing it onto and the clearo or tank on top of it.

The mod i have is from Totally Wicked its there VSCOPE (as seen here e-cig V-Scope Variable Voltage BDC (Bottom Dual Coil) Kit and e-liquid | Totally Wicked UK )

it has a normal 510 Thread and goes to 4.8V so i cant understand why im having so many problems when using my 1.2 coil in the subtank

sounds like the + pin of the atty isnt extended far enuf and the ring stops the atty from being threaded on completely, without the ring the atty threads a bit more into the connection and makes contact.... can you adjust the + pin of your atty?

I can't use a provari beauty ring with kayfun clones....they just don't reach. It is enough to disrupt full contact....
