Shouldn't I have been told they were out....?

I just got an order from a supplier. I had orderd black empty cartos. When I got the order there was a handwritten note in it saying:

"I'm sorry to tell you that we are out of the black blanks at the moment so I am sending you the white instead. Sorry Again!"

That sux! They could have e-mailed or PM'd me and told me and let me make the decision whether I wanted them or not.

Hell no I don't want white cartos on my black Ego!

What would you do?

i am a very easy going person. But this kind of thing really gets me going. I would not want white carts on my black eGo either. How hard would it be to tell a person you are out of something. It takes 2 minutes to write an email geez. If they would have given the choice you would still be a happy customer.
Luckily this has not happened with me yet with pv suppliers. I had one order that the supplier was out of a part of the order and I got to choose a replacement. That is good customer service.

I would email or call and ask them to either let you send them back at their expense or offer a credit or something.

Hi all, I agree you should have been given the option to wait for re-stock or not. But, from a supplier perspective. . .they generally know they are dealing with addicts and addictions. Can understand some may think getting you something quicker than nothing, may just account for some of their behavior. And prolly, the next customer might be more pleased to have any color rather than to go any length of time without. Just my opinion. :)

I believe a good supplier should have sent a few white ones, and apologize for not having the black ones. Then tell you when they get the Black ones in he will send them. And give you the option to recieve a refund or wait. Or in the first place not take the order(or your money).

Please update us on the outcome, we all benefit from info like this.
