I love it!...1st off, nice wood work, but more to the point, diggin' the bare conductor (I like doing that too for some reason....must have been all the HV vault maint. I did in my puppy years)...you've even managed to make a FET look cool...

But I have to be critical on this one...what's with the batt. holder???...I mean come on, you've built this great mod, dripping with this Thomas Edison/Jules Vern -esque style and you goob it up with that cheesy "off-shore, ebay special" plastic batt. holder?...I cried a little ;)

Just jerkin' you around (kinda :p)...nice build Wharf.

Johnny D, those bottles are part of my 78 diy bottles in various steep stages. I will make sure to included all of my commercial juicies that fill a matching nail polish rack to the right of my diy rack...I will give you fair warning though:cool:

I'll be waiting. The switch in the first lexi box,is that a 12 or a 16mm??
I'm looking for a 12mm domed ss switch to replace one in a dznutz DNA30 but, have only been able to find one that has the screws straight out of the bottom, not flush like the ones on that switch.

This is my first mosfet mod.

I bought 5 of these boxes from Fasttech awhile back. $2.84 2*18650 Battery Holder Case Box - parallel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping I was going to build a bottom feeder single 18650 with a mosfet and a built in charger but I decided to hold off on that for now. This is a dual 18650 mod with a mosfet and built in charger. The first 2 pics are to show the comparison between my MVP and this mod. They are almost identical in width and thickness but the new one is about 13mm taller.

Speedometerman:
I like your lexan mod. Lexan is pretty easy to work with. It cuts, sands and glues up easily (love that clear solvent glue). Yours came out beautiful.
I am curious about your micro usb charger. I understand it is a 1000mA charger. It looks like this one: 10pcs Micro USB TP4056 1A Li ion Battery Charging Board Lithium Charger Module | eBay
ebay also has this one which has a couple more chips. 10pcs Micro USB 5V 1A 18650 Lithium Battery Charger Board with Protection Module | eBay
I didn't think the tp4056 really required any additional chips so I am leaning to the first. I don't know what the 'protection-module' is supposed to do. Has that charger worked well for you? I also like that it is supposed to have red/blue leds rather than the usual red/green. I am color blind to red/green so I find them frustrating.
These are a lot cheaper than the chargers from Evolv and they can charge twice as fast. They are quite a bit larger, though.
