Custom J-wraps.... Has anyone done it? My geek is shining through and I'm thinking of trying to make a TARDIS one, but wanted to know if anyone else had tried something similar... Wy reinvent the wheel if I don't have to?

This was posted in the show me your pv wraps section once:

While waiting for the nail polish to dry on the embellishments for my ADV tank, figured I'd post this (also avoiding a long overdue trip to the grocery store...)

wired with tank.jpgwired.jpg

The battery is an ego I scratched the finish on with an unsuccessful attempt at a wired-wrapped gasket. Charm is half of an old pair of earrings I made a couple years ago, then promptly lost one. Not sure how long I'll keep this on here -- there's a wire spiral at the bottom that makes the base uneven so it cannot stand on it's own now. Anywho... I like red :D

Candy, your cropping is a bit too extreme lol. I want to see your pic, but squint as I may, I can't make it out! Why don't you use TinyPic or something to upload your pics?

If you click on it, it will open larger so you can see. I just don't like to bother with extra steps, but here ya go. I put a dual core from vapor girl on top of it so it's all prettied up.

Do you have issues with your lotus tip wobbling? It looks like it sits high over the lip of the tank, as does my aged copper lotus DT, but mine wobbles on my Vivis as a result of the overlong (IMHO) stem...

Nope...no problem with wobble...the reason it sits high in this pic is because the dual coil tank isn't long? tall? enough for the raven carto inside. What you see is part of the carto extending out of the top of the cap....and they are a bit more of a snug fit for the lotus tip....so it sits firmly in there. :D

I'm new here so please pardon the intrusion, but I'm LOVING the girliness of these! I'm still rocking my training wheels with an ego twist but it's working for me so far. I have the purple batt. Any decorating suggestions for me?

Hey welcome jlcarey... you're in the right place to get ideas for something extra girly for your Twist! Just look around here and you'll prolly get some (too many!) ideas of what you like. :)

Welcome jlcarey! You are never intruding! Make yourself at home.

A purple Twist is a fine start :p. Like Katdarling said, look around, see what you like and then ask for help or ideas once you know what you want. If you see any awesome glass or acrylic driptips, cool charms and bling rings, wraps and tanks that you like, just ask. A lot of the awesome stuff you see, is made by the arty and talented girls who hang out here in the Girly thread, wouldn't you know! lol

I see some people are painting the metal parts with nail polish. How does this hold up? Are there chipping issues? What is used to paint on glass or plastic? I painted glass christmas bulbs with paint that was supposed to be for glass and it easily washed off. Can someone point me to something better to use? I'm debatng on painting the Vamo. I know it would "ruin" the finish. I can't decide if I want to do that. I thought about getting a clear wrap and decorating that, but I am strange and actually like the grooves in the Vamo V3 that everyone else hates so much. I was thinking it might be pretty to paint the vamo one color and inside the grooves another... Pink and green or pink and purple. Some of the top rings (I don't know what it is called) of the Vamo V3's have bling. Mine does not. I thought I might add some pink ones there. I think I'm going to make a pouch type lanyard myself for the Vamo, too. I'm horribly careless and tend to lie things down and forget where. That's no good with children in the house. Is there any place on the vamo that needs to be uncovered for air flow. I'm pretty ignorant about how my equipment functions.

I also noted that my Vamo gets warm with use. I wonder how this might affect my choice.

OK. I've done some looking around and since I'm not going to be able to cheat ( I have yet to locate a wrap I like for a twist) I'm going to have to take matters into my own hands. :)
So for the sake of not ruining anything, is there anything I definitely shouldn't do or use on my battery?
Also, I love the brightly colored tanks I'm seeing but so far the evod is as far as I've gone with these. Since I'm really just starting out, I've used up most of my budget on gear and juice that works for me. Ideas on spicing up my evods?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I used nail polish and nail stickers on my eGo. So far it's held up pretty good and hasn't chipped. I know some of the other gals use a coating that cures under a UV light, but I've been spending too much money on vape gear to get it.
Here's my eGo painted with a Color Club Halo Hue.

I just worry about nail polish longevity. My nails chip within a day. I gave up on pretty nails after having kids. I can't help but think a lot of handling would chip it off.

That was my thought too. I'm not even sure the nail polish would effectively stick to the contact paper. I'm hoping that if I don't like how it turns out or it doesn't hold up that I can just peel it off. My only concern is that the sticky stuff from the contact paper gets left on my battery.
