Hi everyone. My family and I have been hit with a stomach bug the past few days. I was the last one to get it this morning. I woke up knowing my fate and took a look at my vaping supplies. It made me feel a bit queasy. I wasn't going to be able to stomach it today.
I used to be able to smoke just fine with any illness other than the flu. I probably could have handled one today, but I'm committed not to.
I dug out a patch that expired a little over a year ago. Who knows if it was anything more than a placebo. But even then, I never did very well with patches and it usually just cut me back to a few ciggys. I missed the ritual. But in many ways, vaping has broken me of that ritual. I don't have to go outside for every puff. It isn't the "every hour on the hour" cycle anymore. It's honestly easier for me to just not get ritualistic about it.
Well the patch fell off an hour ago and I'll probably clean out a tank and put a mild tobacco flavor in to have before bed. But today has been a lot different experience than the 14 years of PAD smoking.
