side-to-side battery play in p+ 16340 normal?

Hi all,

I am LOVING my p+16. There is some play in the battery (side to side, length is fine) and I hear a slight rattle that is not present in either of my 10440's (or any of my other brand mech mods). It's not hindering performance at all, but it is normal? I'm using AW IMR batts I bought from Super T.

Was this a new or used unit? There should be a parts kit with it. Pre-installed it comes with one thick O-ring (.100 thick). Run two thin .070 thick and try two washers on the screw in button post.

take off the firing button assembly and see if that's whats making the 'rattle'. if it's not the button, you can replace the o-ring. i think there's a thread that shows what o-ring to purchase from a hardware store (home depot, lowes, etc.). oh i have a P+16 and yea, there's side play with the battery but when it's fully locked down, you shouldn't hear any rattle at all.

the only reason i say to take out the firing button is coz when i first got mine and loaded it with a battery and shook it, i heard rattling and i thought it was the battery. turns out it's just the button and stuff.

oh was it suppose to come with extra o-rings? mine only came with 2 washers.

It is new. I will try that and report back, thanks to you both!

oh btw, if you need to get new thick o-rings, you can get Danco #10 o-rings. i don't think the danco size was posted anywhere, but i had to get new o-rings, and found that #10 is the right size. not sure what the danco equivalent is for the 0.07 size tho.

ACK - I forgot to update this thread! I did as suggested with the two thin o-rings but the fit was wrong. Once I replaced the thicker o-ring I had no more rattle, then about a week later it was rattling again, so once more I took out the o-ring and re-seated it. No more probs. I will likely replace the o-ring at some point, thanks!
