I get the 16340's from lighthound but I've never seen an AW IMR 14500.

I'm not a battery expert (I go to drozd for that). But I have a few IMR 14500 batteries I picked up from Cloud of Vapor that I really like in my Protege. (Love the batteries, the mod drives me crazy!) They last longer and stay stronger for me. They take a long time to charge, so I have three I rotate. I've been using them daily for a couple months with LR attys.

AW just announced last night that their IMR14500s are ready for shipment: IMR16340 / IMR18500 / IMR18650 / IMR26500 *Part 2* - Page 16 - CPFMarketPlace

Both Clouds and Hounds should have them shortly.

If you absolutely need them now, you can order directly from AW in Hong Kong. Since I'm closer to HK than I am to NJ I did order a few.

If they work with my 2 ohm atomizers as well as the AW IRM16340s do, my search for the Holy Grail on both the T6 and P16 is over.

I've served perfectionist goals all of my professional life, striving for higher performance. Further, those here who know me, know that I'm not a religious person. However, I feel that there's a point beyond which, if one still says; 'I'm not satisfied', God feels obliged to strike them down;-)

you beat me to it KonaNeil.... that the AW IMR 14500 was released last night...

here's the specs if you don't wanna follow the link:

IMR14500 Specifications :

Nominal Voltage : 3.7V
Capacity : 600mAH
Lowest Discharge Voltage : 2.50V
Standard Charge : CC/CV ( max. charging rate 1.5A )
Cycle Life : > 500 cycles
Max. continuous discharge rate : 4A
Operating Discharge Temperature : -10 - 60 Degree Celsius
Size : 14.07mm ( diameter ) x 48.80mm ( height ) +/- .1mm

which as expected is slightly better than the BDL ones that some other vendors are carrying...

the BDL ones have a max discharge rate of 5C... so 3A...

err.... ugh.... That's what Kona posted about ^^

If you order directly from AW they come from HK. I didn't realize that when I ordered (not that it matters)...
Been watching LightHound and BatteryJunction for them also..

They should be getting shipments soon.
