Sounds like something from the old cowboy movies:unsure:

No, actually, I got an email from a vendor called RBA Supplies...I thought it was from rda:?: the guy that sells the AW IMR batteries, so I checked it out. I looked and looked for the batteries till I realized it was a different vendor!

Anyone heard of this vendor and is he/she reputable?

I sure hope so, cuz I just ordered one of his Side Winder EZ Coil Kits. A spare, you know, cuz Pdib doesn't make his coil jigs anymore and I like to have spares of just about anything on hand in case something goes wrong with what I'm currently using.....

sorta like my former husbands....

I ordered the readyXwick from them, during the Halloween sale this past friday. I received the package on monday! Including a freebie, extra 1ft piece of 3mm rxw... I didn't notice I got an extra foot, until someone in this sub-forum, on the Rxw thread, said they did too... They are totally the real deal.

Im very impressed with their product and service; it has made my reos even more maintenance-free/easy... not that it needed to get any easier, but Ill surrender!

Also, I use the Artistic wire coil gizmo for coiling, if you haven't heard of it, you might wanna give it a try, or keep in mind as a future backup, backup ;)

I love old cowboy movies. Might watch pale rider tonite- which I have yet to see.

Yeah, I saw that, and like it. If it was $15, I might have gotten one...
But anyway - yes, RBA Supplies is a fine vendor - this is a preorder, but he's totally reliable even for that, and doubt he'd even publish it unless they were already shipped...
(I got a preorder really low priced Infinite Magma from him, in addition to some X-wick)

Thanks y'all.....( to paraphrase Tory:D)

Now I'm confident that i did good!

Pdip..if you still made your coil makers, I would have went to you...I love mine...I'm just nervous about losing it somehow.

I had one of those other coil gizmos but I simply couldn't use it...too clumsy and discombobulated for that type..I need some thing very simple.

Filthy..thanks for posting the demo! It's what sold me on it...plus the really tight smooth pro-looking coil!

I never have accomplished one that looks like that:glare:

If you can find a way to apply tension while wrapping that is one of the advantages of tension wrapping, keeps springy wire from springing open

Xobeloot had sent me a hemostatic clamp a while back. For a nice tight wrap, I use the Dizzie jig and clamp the other end with the Hemo. Then I just poke one finger through one of the handles of the forceps and spin freely (I can pull tight the whole time and not have to change my grip).

I find it interesting that RBA contacted someone about the presale of this jig that doesn't even know who they are, yet didn't contact all of their existing customers about it.

Actually, I found an email from them in my spam folder. Go check. I was checking Spam for another reason a couple of days ago and saw it. I think I get "regular" newsletters from them, and was surprised to see one from them in spam.
