Well, I don't have enough posts yet so I can't put this in the proper forum. Anyway, I bought my Sidesho about a year ago and I love it! Used it for about a month, then put it away for a year till I decided about a month ago that it's time to quit analogs, which I successfully did (Yay for me!) Anyway, I'm really getting into vaping now. It's becoming a passion that I'm very grateful for.

My issue is that my batteries don't seem to last all that long. Yes, one of them is a year old, though I barely used it, but I also have a battery that's only a couple weeks old and I still get the same lifespan out of it (maybe an hour or two before I have to charge it). I'll admit that I do puff near constantly, haha, can't help it. I love it! I'm using 12mg juice so I don't get wirey or anything.

So, are the batteries not lasting long since I'm using my Sidesho so much? Are there any other battery options out there? (I do plan to get the USB pass through, but I'm just curious if this is normal and if there are any other battery options for the Sidesho. (both my batteries are manual, by the way)

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I did try searching the site quite a bit before making this thread.

Yes - it is a very small ecig. It's M402 or something. maybe M401

100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping

M401/402/403 mah are 200/150/100

The most popular slim ecigs are
Manual Joye 510 - 180mah
Manual Joye 510 mega xl - 280mah

KR808D-1 - shorty aka 65mm battery size/standard aka 78mm battery size/xl - 180/280/350 (Vapor4Life or standard KR808D-1.) Or 220/320/?? (for the new style sold by SmokelessImage, Bloogplanet, Halocigs G6)

To get more charge than that you have to go to fat battery models (like Ego and Riva 510 and others) and mods.

(EDIT - this is wrong - it is not M401 threading)

Thanks for the reply. I don't completely understand all the numbers you threw out there. I understand batteries in general and I know what mah are, but can you point me to some larger batteries compatible with my Sidesho? Or are there none? I love my Sidesho; not looking to replace it. But if there are larger batteries compatible with it, perhaps you could post some links to them? That would be easiest for me. Thanks again.

Or even links to other threads on here that talk about it. Either way, I appreciate it.

You definitely need to upgrade to a better model. The Riva or eGo will give you about 4-5 hours on a charge and are good "beginner" PV's. But a much better option is the E-Power, which also gives you 5 hours on a charge but the batteries only cost about $4 instead of the $12-$20 you will pay for Riva/eGo batteries. Plus the RIVA/eGo batteries can only be recharged 200 times whereas the E-Power batteries can be recharged 2000 times. I wouldn't go any smaller in battery size than one of these three if you really want to stick with vaping.

There is nothing stronger compatible with Sidesho

And why would you want to use M401 cartridges if you got a better battery that could use cartomizers and bigger cartridges?

And anything with a longer charge will be thicker than M401 - a minimum of 9.2mm thick

510 to 401 adapter here
There is also an 808 (KR808D-1) to 401 adapter
PV Adapters

You could buy 78mm SmokelessImage Volt or Vapor4Life.com's model and use the 808 to 401 adapter for 320mah but these batteries have voltage a lot higher than M401 (these are 3.7v so they will vape hotter and may damage your 401 atomizer)

You could buy Joye 510 mega xl and use the 510 to 401 adapter for 280mah (voltage just a bit higher than M401)

Manual batteries recommended for all of the above

You could get a fat battery model Joye Ego or Riva 510 for 650mah or higher and use 510 to 401 adapter

But those all are better ecigs with their own stuff - 510 models with blank Boge blank cartomizers, KR8 models with prefilled and blank KR8 cartomizers

(EDIT - this is wrong, it is not M401 threading)

I don't recall saying that I do want to use M401 cartridges; in fact, I'm quite certain I didn't since I don't even know what they are.

Besides, this is all disregarding the fact that I already stated I can't afford to invest in any sort of upgrade. I was really only interested in battery life to begin with. Thanks though.

You said Sidesho

I said Sidesho is M401 but my memory is faulty

It is 510 threading

If you want a bigger battery, Joye mega xl manual (280mah) but buy a 510 charging cable because Sidesho could be reverse polarity (some 510 clones are)
(NOTE - if Sidesho is already about 128mm long with a cartomizer on, then you already have mega xl batteries)

Or buy an Ego or Riva 510 (popular vendor Liberty-Flights.com and press the 20% off first which will lower the shown prices). These use a Riva or EGo fast charging cable that can damage slim batteries,

Thanks. I can't afford to upgrade right now, but I'm gonna bookmark that link for when I can. So that e-power is one of the better models? dependable? etc?

Yes, it is one of the better models in that category or I would not have recommended it. And, in the long run, it will cost you significantly less money than either eGo or Riva models. They are both fine models but the batteries are proprietary and cost 3-4 times more than the E-Power. Plus as stated earlier, the E-Power batteries last (lifetime) 10 times longer than the eGo/Riva batteries.

Thanks for all the info, guys, and for your quickness. I really appreciate it. I'm gonna check out all those links. And once I can afford to upgrade, I'll definitely be looking into the e-power. Thanks again for helping out a noob. This is definitely gonna become a lifelong hobby though. I love vaping. It's becoming a passion...
