hi Ifcanfield and welcome to the forum. I have no experience on the 2 mods you mentioned. I do believe in "headroom". If I were pushing major wattage (80 to 90 for example) I'd want the 150Watt. In this manner you're not pushing the mod to it's limit every time you vape. Goodluck in your vape journey.

Bump for answer.

I am looking at these two devices, can pick up the 150w for a little more money, but don't really need the extra power. My question is on the 150 is the build quality much better? If so might go for that instead. Thanks
Basically the same device save the power difference and different looks. But, I sprang for the 150 because this way I know that no matter what I get into, I won't /have/ to buy another mod.

Also I heard something about the firing button on the 100w gets stuck not sure if its the same on the 100w plus but worth looking into.
It all depends. The ring around the button can be unscrewed and if you do that, it will get stuck underneath that ring sometimes. Just don't sit there and spin the ring and you'll be fine.

In terms of build quality though is the 150 better finished?

Maybe a bit better? I think the firing button was improved and I really, really like the silicone sleeve my 150 came with. At the time, the 100 didn't offer a factory sleeve (don't now about now though). I also never thought I would use the extra power, but learned to build coils that could handle it and love it!!!

I wasnt 100% sure about the problem or the fix but it does sound minor and a simple fix. Just thought I'd mention it to the OP. I'll rember the info incase its ever comes up again. Thanks for the info.

I cant compare to the 100w, but I have been using the 150w every day for about 6 months, and it is still going strong. Right now I have 2 strands of 26ga kanthal and 2 strands of 26ga N80 twisted sitting at .2ohms and 100w, and it is killin it. The only time I went over 100w with a build was runing dual fused claptons, dual 26ga kanthal cores fused with 32ga N80, which also sat around .2ohms, but seemed to need extra wattage to ramp up. It just depends on what you want to build. I am like some of the others, and bought the 150w, because I wanted the extra headroom.

I think you'll be very happy with your choice. I was when I got mine and still are now. Whichever you'd have chosen you would have gotten a very good mod :)

I agree completely, I still use my 150's even though I now run two SX Mini M Series temp control mods. I just sometimes, have to blow massive clouds with drippers on my sigs.

+1 I'm using my vapour flask for temp but the raw power in the sigelei is perfect for coils with loads of metal and to blow massive clouds.
