Hey guys.
I recently purchased my first regulated box mod by sigelei. I've heard that I am supposed to swap the batteries at a certain point from friends but since they are still using mechs they couldn't give me any more information on this. At what point am I supposed to switch them? I'm running two 18650 Sony VTC4s. Thanks.

Seems to me that's a lot of needless wear and tear on those soldered springs and batt contacts taking those batts out so often..
I don't have the Sig but I do have the dual batt IPV3..
It's true I married s couple pair of new batts and labeled then A, B etc to insure I use that pair and not use them in any other mod..
I take them out to charge in the separate digital charger when down a little past halfway on the display..without swapping sides they read the same each and every time with no difference between them, usually about 3.6 to 3.7v..but always the same reading for the pair...been doing this every day for a month with no issues at all...

I have a Sigelei 100w Plus and here's what I do. I have 2 sets of XTAR 18650's. One set is marked A1 and A2 and one se is marked B1 and B2. Each letter pair is married together. So if I'm looking at the box mod an I'm placing the "A" set in, A1 is to the left and A2 to the right. Once they drain (usually swap out at 40%) and I recharge them, I swap sides. So the next time they are charged it goes A2 on the left A1 on the right. I do this with the "B" married pair as well. All of my married pairs still charge at the same time and discharge evenly. I've been using them for three months with almost no change in performance. I run a .3ohm dual coil build @ 40 watts on my MutationX v2, and I chain vape. I usually get 12-14 hours out of each set.

I have 5 different box mods, some regulated, some mech, some series, some parallel. I marry the batts in each device and rotate the batts every charge. If you check the batts with a multimeter you will find one slightly lower than the other. It's been a while since I checked, but I think it's the batt closest to the contact that is lower.

Sorry I just don't get the swapping around of batteries. married in pairs for sure, but A1/A2 then A2/A1. Over the long run If you flip a coin, assuming the coin is fair, it will come up 50% of the time heads and 50% of the time tails. Probability and Statistics 101.
Simple one batt will be drained of its power a pinch more then the other. This is true for any circuit that has more then one power supply.

This is what I do with my 100W:

1. Batteries 1 and 2 are married, as are batts 3 and 4. I numbered them.

2. I change them at or before 50%.

3. First use of batts 1 and 2 are put in the mod in that order. Then charge when needed. Next use, I put them in as 2 first and 1 second. Same with my other pair. 3 first, 4 second. Charge, then switch order to 4 in first slot and 3 in second. I have a method of how I put them in the plastic storage case so I can keep track.

Well I certainly understand the concept. I just don't think it's necessary to deliberately rotate them lol

In the natural order of things they will be reversed 50% of the time.
