Sigelei 150w battery question

It runs the batteries in series, so the amp draw is just like it would be with one battery. Regulated mods like the Sig run in series in order to increase the voltage. This is why you can't run every coil within its resistance range at 150 watts.

Batteries in parallel effectively double the amperage.

Okay im a little confused on how this works. It takes two batteries. I have the samsung 25r rated a 20amps each. The batteries go in one postive up the second postive down. Since there is two. Does that give me 40 amps, splits the amps between the two (example. Im pulling 20amp does it spilt it to 10amp to each battery).

The Sig150 is a series battery configuration

Series Batteries (One Negative Down, One Negative Up, One Positive Up, One Positive Down)= Double the Voltage of a single battery, same amp CDR of a single battery, same mah as a single battery
Parallel Batteries (Both Negatives Down, Both Positives Up) = Same Voltage as a single battery, double the amp CDR of a single battery, double the mah of a single battery

So it works the same as a series unregulated than. That sucks was hoping for extra amps to run my .2 build at higher watts than 4.2volts. So my sig with the samsungs are 7.2v of power at 3.6v each. 7.2/.2 equals 36 amps this is much worse now

Believe, blah, no batteries in mine, but the max voltage I believe is 7.5voltage output while it accepts 8.4v input (fresh charged Li Ion battery is 4.2v). It will go down to a 0.15 minimum it will fire, basically 100watts plus, you need LG HB6 or Sony VTC4 (both 30amp), below 100watts Samsung 25R or any other 20amp battery will do fine.

OkAy cause i been blasting away at 110w for a bit now. An it been acting fine. It gets warm if a chain vape but not hot. So i havent worried much. But hey battery safety. An figured i would ask as well. Cause it does allow me to go up to 7.4v but i know wattage is totally different

    A lot of what drives our battery safety related recommendations is what would happen if a regulated mod autofired or a mech mod had its button get stuck on or accidentally pressed in a pocket.

    During vaping, because it is only pulsing, a battery pushed way past its rating can still run without getting too hot. But if there's a problem with the mod that's when the current becomes continuous. That could heat up the battery enough to cause it to vent, or worse. And that's typically regarded as having a bad day. :)

    Ah i think i get it. That would explain the second limiter on alot of mods that are set at 10-15 seconds so continious doesnt take place. My hades did that once in my pocket. Felt like a fire in my pants. So basically with me vaping normal its relatively safe so to speak.(I know nothing is safe at any watt, volt, amp)

    If you are planning to run that mod over the 75-85W range I would still go with a 30A battery. You will sacrifice a lil bit of capacity, but will leave yourself more of a safety margin. The mod doesn't know what kind of battery is in it and if the battery has the voltage left on it to put out 25-30A, the mod will try to suck it out of there. It will regulate the voltage down at lower resistance, but it's not completely foolproof. A 0.2 build at 4.2V is 21A and 88W. If you crank it up to 150W to fire a big set of complex build coils, it may only put out around 5.5V, but that's about 28A of drain on the batts. Most mods that put out over 75W recommend a 30A battery anyway.
