Sigelei #20 battery help

Hi there,
I was lucky enough to get on a #20 pre-order that should arrive to me in the next couple of days. After much searching and reading, i'm still a bit confused on what type of battery to use. currenty, i'm vaping on a Vamo using panasonic cgr18650ch. these are unprotected, high drain batteries. My question is, are these batteries safe to use in the #20? if not any recommendations? also, any recommendations on 18350's that are suitable for this mod. this is my first mech i would, very much, like to avoid explosions.

TIA

As far as I know there has never been a single-battery explosion (but I could be wrong). There have been multiple meltdowns with flame/smoke, though, even in the most expensive electronic single-battery devices.

Any good-quality battery should be OK but the main thing is that it is not a counterfeit - this is probably the main issue. If it is a genuine AW or Panasonic then you are going to be OK. There are others that have tested well and have a safe history at this time, such as Efest.

It is sensible to have gas vents at the top of the main tube because that gives you an early warning of any issue. Gas vents at the bottom end aren't so good because there have been cases where the battery swelled up as it got hot, and blocked the tube. If this happens, the pressure at the top end rises. Metal tubes need gas vents of some kind.
