I have had my 20watt for about four months but I have noticed the battery tube and cap getting pretty warm. If this where a mech I would think there was a short on the body somewhere but this a regulated mod. It only occurs on my 1ohm builds at 20watts and the battery is cool as can be. I only use the 35amp high drain imr efests or sonys. Anyone have an idea on why this is happening?

Think of it this way. At 20 watts, there is about 4.5 amps coming out of the chip, through a set of wires, into the 510 connection, and into your rda. And to supply that current, even at zero loss, at a full charge on the battery (4.2 volts) there's about 4.8 amps coming out of the battery INTO the regulating chip.

Even the best of connections is going to have SOME resistance, and that resistance is creating heat. Not as much as the heat created in your atomizer, but still enough to be noticeable.

I wouldn't be too worried about it, just keep an eye on it.
