So I've had my svd for about a month and its working great except one thing thats bothering me.. its authentic I got it with the scratch code and put it in and it checked out.. but recently I've noticed my telescoping tube part will heat up pretty hot in a pin point location ( not the whole tube ). Its hot enough that I have to lift my finger off that spot.. it takes about 5 seconds of firing after 2 or 3 chain vales for this to happen.

I'm using aw imr 18650s 2000 mah batteries and they both cause this. The tube cools down really fast and the batteries feel a little warm not concerning at all but they might cool down just as quick as the tube?. I'm using a kayfun up top 1.4 ohm microcoil n cotton build.. no shorts or hot legs perfect glow from the inside going out. Great vape at 11.5 watts so I dont think its the atty.. but could the heat from the coil and connection be transferring down to the Tele tube on that certain spot? It seems more like the battery would be heating up around that area but its only a little warm when I take it out right after..

Any input would be appreciated!

That would put it at about the threads on the main tube...

Have you put any thread compound on it? I.e. NoAlox or similar conductive grease? (A little goes a long way!)

A hot spot there suggests that you're only getting a good connection at that point, so all the current goes through there. While I never had the issue with mine, it's a possibility.... so maybe take it apart and make sure all the threads are at least clean, inside and out. And make sure it's snug when put back together. Not wrench tight, but shouldn't have any wobble.
