If anyone is paying attention still... I got my second moonshot today. This time from dna... Its still a pain to build but once you get it going it's pretty amazing. Comparing it to all the other RTAs I've recently got (Crius, Griffin, Aromamizer) this kills everything production and of course flavor wise. I've got a simple 24g SS 316L build in there coming in at .3 ohms 70w 420°. I'm pretty stoked about it now. I'll update if I get adventurous and decide to put a more complex build in it.

Bought the Moonshot yesterday. The build is tricky. Trying to get two coils centered and correct by holding onto the 510 pin is a ...... First build was 8 wrap with 3mm inner diameter. I wicked it properly ( I thought) but while filling it it flooded through the airflow.
Then I built a 10 wrap of SS316L with a 2.5 inner diameter and no leaking problems. In summary, the build is ruff but the wicking has to be spot on or your build is screwed.

The little bitty allen key that is in there, I put it thru the airflow hole (and the hole in the 510) then closed off the airflow so it was tight on the key. This made building MUCH simpler than with a loose deck.
Wish I would have read this a little earlier. Just finished a new build just to see what I could get to fit. Really building on this thing really isn't all that bad. Kinda like the challenge lol

I make sure the holes are completely covered in cotton. No dry hits or leaking at all yet

I am in love with this friggin' thing!
Ya ya, finicky build. BUT THE FLAVOR: Is dripper quality.
I use my derringer to test my DIY and then put the finished product right up in my Moonshot.

I am unbelievably happy with it.
To the OP: that first one you got definitely was not the authentic.... I got much more in my little set up when I opened up my package!

Hey guys...I got moonshot yesterday.
Post holes grub screws are very bad...not holding up to tighten clapton coils in it. Also adding to my pain 510 positive pin is spinning free...well it barely catches threads with positive post.
In the end used velocity grub nuts n somehow managed to draw dual SS 25awg build. Flavor is super thumbs up.

But I doubt the 510 pin won't stay too long...pls suggest

authentic or copy...not sure if moonshot clone in market or not?

Just got mine.
Coils aren't that hard to get right, just need to be careful not to make them too big.
Having mostly issues with getting my wicks right, this baby needs a lot of cotton.
After third try still getting some leaking from one airslot after filling, so I got one right, second one needs work.
As far as flavour goes this one's a winner, getting a vape that is very close to a dripper.
2 ml tank ain't an issue since it is easy to fill and if you have snug enough tip you can turn the cap open twisting from the tip.
The one Moonshot comes with is not my liking though you can drip directly to the deck through it turning this into dripper.
Intresting to see what else Sigelei has planned for this.
Update: after starting to use 90% VG haven't had ANY leaking EVEN when afc left wide open.
Also wicks tank empty on 75 watts.

Did you manage to figure out the issue?!
If not: i am making another build on mine later tonight i'll try and shoot a quick video to show how to remedy the issue.
Mine didn't cause me issue -I created the issue but figured out how to remedy it.

I'll recreate it per say and post it here!

Nope definitely wasn't a clone. It was pre-ordered. There wasn't any clones even when I bought my 2nd one. I don't believe there are even any clones out yet tbh. It was just ....ty luck as I pointed out already... I love my moonshot. Just won't be dealing with ecig-city.com ever again.

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
i have been looking for something very much like the moonshot. i have watched the videos about the spinning deck etc.. my question are ,,,

1) would you buy it again?
2) are there other versions out there that are either better or cheaper?

i want 2ml +/-
rdta/rta
glass,,,(this is where i took a wrong turn for me buying rda's)
topfill

1 more question,, i use a topbox,, i notice the spec sheet says 70w,,, i vape around 15-25 ,,i am more of a flavor chaser who gets decent clouds. my sole desire is finding a tiny rta tank that is semi rda.

i will be looking to buy another mod soon just for 'other tanks/rdas'..and i will cross that bridge soon enough.

i dont need a bunch of fancy stuff,,, i need the vw setting (18650 or 18350) and something 'slim or small'....
thanks!

I already bought it again lol I have my 3rd one on the way.
As far as I know this is the only version of the moonshot.
As far as wattage goes... Its however you build the coil. I have no problem getting flavor or clouds at sub 50 watt. It's all in your build. Don't know why anyone would put a 70 watt minimum on it. I vape it all day at 45 watts. It can be tricky getting the legs just right. Top fill works great as long as you have it wicked right. Even with any of its small quirks it's totally worth it. Haven't had another rdta come close flavor wise.

thanks! yeah,, i thought it was a little weird the 70w,, but then again maybe it was intended as a crossover for drippers to tanks.........i dunno :) i do build my own UGLY coils that work fine ,, they seem to wander .25-.75 ohms.......for me lower is better,, but i accept my unpredictable fingers limits :) i just adjust the watts for what ever coil i built.

i bought some 1.0 coils for a rda,, my topbox kept refusing it.......i dunno.

I'm very interested in this ugly little dude. Hopefully, it gets down around the $30 mark before long.

The biggest complaint I've read about is the awkward build. I daily carried a veritas for quite awhile so I thought building the moonshot looked simple. Lol
