Ugh.. I hate my neighborhood. One of my sleazy neighbors or some passing by hoodlum stole my package. I talked to usps and they said they were not holding the package, and had documented it as delivered. Two 1000 mah Ego Twists and 2 rebuild-able stardusts, 78.50$.. gone. How depressing.. The worst thing is that I have 5 more packages on route, ammounting to another 150$ worth, and usps can't put a hold on them for pickup unless I completely have all my mail held. I don't know what I'm going to do about all this.

its not in any of my apt neighbors mailboxes, and I know all of them but one so they would give it to me if it was in their door. I'm not sure about the new guy, I've never seen him. I'm hopeful that they made a mistake and scanned it as delivered but didn't deliver anything, I didn't get any other mail either. But I live in an absolutely awful neighborhood, one of the worst in my city and its actually a stroke of luck that I haven't been stolen from yet. I used to live in the front of the building, and they would just put the packages in my door, but now that I'm in the back I'm pretty sure they will just leave it out, and stuff is going to keep disappearing. I'm going to talk to the post office tomorrow when they open and see if I can get them to bring it to the back apartment for me.. hopefully they will. If not, I'll have to look into opening a p.o. box, I guess.

Unless vaping has become really popular where you are at (most people around me wouldn't know what to do with my gear if they could even figure out what it is for) the person who recieved you package would probably return it to you and ask questions out of curiosity. Don't give up hope, just ask your neighbors and confirm the shipping from the company you bought from that they have the correct address.

I don't think I'll even get them to ask for a signature, my apt door is now facing the back alley and I don't even think they know where it is. But perhaps that would work in terms of getting them to hold it. Trouble is, that means at least an extra day on every package delivered.. being that first it goes out, comes back, and then I can pick it up.. when I am not working when they are open... which is... never.

The only problem is that some places may not ship to a PO box, I'm not completely sure...

Most places that offer PO box service (Even the USPS) let you put a street address on it. With USPS you still have to note a PO Box number, but other mailbox chains usually advertise that they accept all packages.

The suggestion of work or whatnot is also a good one.

As a mail carrier myself, you should be speaking to their supervisor/ managers if they are leaving packages out in the open. This is against postal policy ( because people like to take things that are just sitting there unwatched). While it would still mean an extra day for delivery , you can also specify a day for redelivery when you know you will be home by filling out the back of the orange card we leave. Its also always good to let them know you haven't gotten it. Mail theft is a federal crime and is strongly pursued.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll talk it over the the post office when I stop by tomorrow to make sure there was not a mistake. It wouldn't make sense, because they wouldn't have marked it as delivered, but.. I can hope. I can't have it delivered to work, admin would have a fit. I think I may go with just having my mail held for now, the usps rep I talked to suggested that too. I would hate to put in a complaint with my card company, its from gotvapes and I buy from them all the time (half of the .... doesn't work out of the box, but I like playing around with bleeding edge gear), and it wasn't their fault either. I put in a message to them about it, anyways. On packages being left.. yeah.. its an issue. I'm sure they are quite aware of how likely packages are to be stolen in my neighborhood, being a block away from the more or less red light district of my city, but they leave packages outside my door and hanging out of my mailbox all the time. I've been worried by it, but I had yet to have a package disappear.
