Duluth has had a job and housing shortage for a long time, and the low income areas get shadier by the day. For the most part, the flooding damage in the wealthier areas seems to be cleaned up, but there are lots of roads that are more or less destroyed. I would imagine most of the housing is still in rough shape. I lucked out, my block got passed by. Lots of blown out manholes, but that's about it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll talk it over the the post office when I stop by tomorrow to make sure there was not a mistake. It wouldn't make sense, because they wouldn't have marked it as delivered, but.. I can hope.

I know how you feel. Unfortunately the post office will mark a package as delivered when it was not. I'm still waiting for a package they said that was delivered a month ago. My case was escalated to consumer affairs after numerous calls to the local post office and the 800 number. I had to reorder from the company which I received after taking out of my neighbors mailbox. I wish we had a lock box. I didn't lose as much as you but it's my money dang it and I want a refund.
I hope you get your package.

GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!

Mailing error. They had it stashed away a the sorting center, despite telling me otherwise twice. Woot. Why did they think it was delivered? This has never happened to me before, and I have had hundreds of packages delivered. Probably a good wake up call, though. .... will disappear eventually where I live.

Bad news. Rebuildable stardusts are just as wonkey stock as the Vivi Nova. I'm going to have to come up with a new strategy, I've tried swisting on nr wire, looping it in nr wire, coating the twisted strands in silver solder (no go, can't get it to soak in, and it breaks off). Every attempt is followed by burning on the inside of the little rubber grommet thing. There has to be a way to make them work.
