Signature problem

The problem solved in the post #9 by sashwa. I changed the banner in the signature to the desired one so now the thread isn’t consistent.

So far I used the signature made with the help of Goodejuice.com Smoke-Free Counter website (see: below). Now I try to make a signature with the help of Track the time you've been smoke-free, the money you've saved and the cigarettes you have avoided since quitting website. Unfortunately ECF engine refuses for some reason to display that signature – it shows instead nothing. I like much more the other banner than the first one. How could I use the banner from sincemylastcigarette.com rather than from goodejuice.com?

Are you attempting to use the BB Code version or HTML version of the signature?

I tried both BBCode and HTML versions – the other one using the wrapper for HTML tags. According to my settings the HTML tags aren’t allowed but the BBCode should work. It works in the case of goodejuice.com but it refuses to work in the case of sincemylastcigarette.com. When I copy the link to the image and paste it in the browser’s address field it displays the valid image.

By the way: the other users have the problem with sincemylastcigarette.com as well. Here’s the post by kiwivap: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/438649-banners.html#post10010299. After the words “this one” should appear the banner from sincemylastcigarette.com but instead appears nothing.

there are some sites being filtered out by ecf for various reasons. but with so many banners available why don't you look for one that displays properly?

i'm sure there are other banners you liked as a signature during your rounds on ecf - just click on one of those!

I’m asking about that banner because I didn’t see so far the other one which I like more than that. It seems that sellersj27 managed somehow to put that banner into the signature (the black version): http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/438734-help-upgrade.html#post10013889. I ask him how he did it. I’m not sure whether he used dynamically changing banner or just copied the image and put the static version there.

Also remember, that programs like AdBlock can prevent you from seeing some banners.

ok...as you mentioned, some of the sites are blocked...they were kicking in virus alerts...

Another thought, (I don't know about these things ok...) I see that it says png on the end...maybe that is the issue ? The wrong type of file ?



the one you mentioned that sellersj27 has does not seem to be an "active" type of one...??

there should be no problem displaying a png file - it must be an url problem and if that url threw out a virus alert cckk will be out of luck

if that's the only banner he would really like then i guess he has to go with a static version and update it himself

Now I can see it as well. The problem was on my side. The Adblock Plus plugin was the culprit.

it helped me quite a bit with page loading times but then my internet connection is iffy and every little bit helps!
