Silica wicking material....Where?

I have been looking all over trying to find wicking for a DIY atomizer. So far no love! I have found some on commercial web sites but who needs hundreds of feet of this stuff.

I've seen it at a local Ace hardware. When you go ask for oven door gasket. buy a foot and you'll be set for months.
