I assume you mean a silicone case for your mod if so then i had one for my gpriv 2 which i didn't use long as i like seing the color of it, my hands do get pretty sweaty in the summer but it never affected my vape experience last summer . My only advice is checking to make sure there's no sweat or any water getting in the batteries (which is also why i use a mod with a bottom door when it rains).

If you're paranoid about dropping and scratching your mod i suggest getting yourself an Aegis mod it's the most indestructable mod in existance (at least that i know of).

Thanks for the answer! Yeah i keant that — sorry seemed obvious to me, yet i knew what i meant so... :).

Im not paranoid, i just like thing to be safe and sound when it comes to vaping - i try my hardest not to be the next media coverage of “vaping is kill.buy cigarettes!”, and if it means paying 2$ then so be it :)

I have a pico 75w - holes underneath to battery, dont know why, and im only upgrading in the upcoming months - and i thought i might get one, but no idea about it affecting the temperature of the mod - speaking about it being silicine.

My mod gets only a bit hitter than my hand - hence the sweating -, but again im chain vaping (well, making 3s long puffs with a few seconds pause, maybe its hotboxing already...) mostly, for 15-20 puffs, and its the atty that gets pretty hot, still in the tolerable area.

I use the pico all the time and have these type of sleeves(covers). No problems whatsoever. They actually allow you a firmer grip on the mod as the original texture tends to be a bit slippery. Comes in many colors and if you have a spill just pull it off and wipe it dry inside and out as well as wiping the mod.
Another suggestion is if you are chain vaping enough to get the mod hot you may want to consider either a more powerful mod or a 2nd mod and switching between the two. So that when the one you are chain vaping on has a chance to cool down before you continue to use it. Also allows you to have more that just the one flavor to vape.....

YMMV

Yeah, thanks! I wanted to say that im chain vaping, but it wont get all red-hot, i put it down and its cool in a minute. I think its the excess and continous heat from the coils, hence metal is a great conductor for heat :)

I think then i'll buy one and try it out myself, just wanted some opnisions first :)

Thanks guys!

I use a sleeve for my Revenger X and Sense mods since they are very smooth. They are also my out and about devices. The sleeve done its job on a few occasions so glad I have them. They all have bottom venting holes.
My other mods stay at home mostly and I don’t think I would put a sleeve on them. Not sure they have them for a Therion or Paranormal but both have nice textured grips. Less likely to slide from my sweaty paws lol!

I have a black silicone sleeve for my Steampunk nano, but mainly to address its battery door issue. Which, oddly enough now that I have a larger tank on there, the battery is fine. My theory is the extra weight with a bigger tank causes more pressure on the 510 pin which helps the battery stay latched.

But, even though I don't "need" to use it anymore, I kind of like it. It is protective of the mod, and I got really thick black silicone (ebay) and it certainly served its purpose. The steampunk is pretty unkillable in any case, but I like the extra protection.

I'm not apt to do that for all my mods though, but the sleeve is perfectly comfortable, my hands don't sweat or anything, and if you want one for protection there is no reason whatsoever not to get one. Etc.

Hey guys,

Is it safe to use? wont get the vape too hot? My hands are sweaty so i might get one, and i could counter not totally dry surfaces, etc.

What are your stance on it?
Thanks for the help!

I also use them on all my mods when they are available. I have a few Pico 75's. No heat buildup, never had an issue with them. I think it makes a difference when I drop a mod. It also keep scratches under control nicely.

It can get a bit messy when you have an atty leak, but it's easy enough to take the sleeve off and wipe everything off.

I absolutely recommend a silicone modshield. The ones I like are made by a company named JoJo. I bought them on Amazon and the quality is excellent. Perfect fit on my mods with battery vents usb access in the right places. I drop things and for me it is necessity.

I used a silicone sleeve for my old RX200 when the paint started to wear off and became an eyesore. It did improve the grip, but was a pain to remove to replace the batteries.

A vinyl "skin" custom cut specifically for your specific mod might or might not be a better idea. VaporskinZ or J-Wrap are two brands that I've used.

Thanks for the links. I did purchase a vinyl skin and it was just so-so. These companies you listed look like they are nice quality ones and I am going to order one or 2. :) :) Thx.
