Hey all. It's kinda weird but here it goes...

Is it possible for an atomizer to malfunction in a way, that it vaporizes the liquid, but doesn't really atomize/vaporize the nicotine?

The reason I ask is because I started using a new atomizer yesterday, and today I seem to be getting withdrawal symptoms. Cold, sweaty hands, short temper, difficulty focusing on a task, etc. Additionally, the 'need for nicotine' feeling doesn't subside after I vape. Everything I'm using is the same, including the juice, except for the atomizer.

Another factor to consider is the atty I'm using has a fairly loose draw, and the vapor feels 'thin' to me.

So what do you think?

I think its more likely you have more stress than you have had in the past and are just now recognzing it. Also - of interest, the symptoms you describe are also symptoms of thyroid disease - thats not to suggest you have thyroid disease but rather, to point out your symptoms could have a medical cause. Even certain vitamin defficiencies can produce these symptoms.

Still - if you think its the atty - try out another one. If the symptoms dont change, see your doc :)

That's the ticket. Yes it's possible to have different equipment perform differently. Particularly the ohms being different and also the coil surface area and, like you said, the airy draw.

All are variables. So yep. :)

You can try plugging an air hole with something non-toxic or putting a piece of tape over 1/2 the atty/PV connection holes after it is screwed on. Also changing voltage (usually higher) if it wicks fast enough will vaporize more juice per second if you have vv.
