Silicone cups on coil

Hi. I'm new to vaping. I'm learning that there is a silicone cup that goes over the kangertech dual upgraded coils that was missing on my new emow mega starter kit. My Question is do all coils need that silicone cup? I wonder why I didn't get one with my new Device

I think you're talking about the seal to seal the center airtube.

On some of the newer coil heads it's incorporated in the coil head; on the older protank coil heads it's a silicone cap that slides off easily

Thanks. Did some more research and yes the newer coils use a ring instead of a cup. It is integrated
