Yes it's suppose to keep any excess fluid from leaking out of the cart when laying on it's side. It does seal pretty well.

I don't use the o'ring or the white cap. Before I pull the white cap off I place one of the silicone covers on there and use an exacto knife to cut a small hole in the center through the white cap. I then remove the cap and o'ring and toss them in a plastic bag. I vape through the small hole in the silicone cover. When I need to top off or refill it makes it a lot easier than trying to pull that white cap off.

I've just been experimenting with an 808 for a couple days, coming from a 501. Since I'm mangling the little white caps a bit and really like the 501 flat tips I cut the base of a flat tip to work with the cartomizer. Works pretty nice and I can bite it. :p

What would be -ideal- is to have a flat tip with the silicon ring bonded to it. Anyone seen someone do this mod? Then we'd have a nice mouthpiece, great sealing and tool free refill access.

Can anyone tell me how or where I can get a 901 flat tip? I am a newbie and have only used KR808-D's so far which I bought from V4L. I have been analog free for 36 days and I enjoy vaping!

LiteCigUSA and Good Prophets both carry the 901 cartridges. To use it with the Kr8 cartomizer you need to trim the 901 cartridge a bit on the open end and remove the white cap from the cartomizer. It works okay for me, but can be loose sometimes.

Good Prophets also carries the 801 cartridges. The "soft" tips mouthpiece can be stretched to fit over the Kr8 cartomizer. I dip the open end of the mouth piece in VERY hot water for a bit and then put it on the cartomizer. I like this one better, but they do get loose over time.

Glad to have you on the forum!

;)
