I have been reading through many threads regarding the Silver Bullet and it seems like the best choice out there now. What are the best accessories to get with the Silver Bullet and should I buy them from the Altsmoke website or off of another website? I'm very new to the concept of atomizer, 501 Yetis, and so on. I am educating myself about the maintenance and how to work it, but what atomizer or other devices are necessary to get the Silver Bullet working. I am an athlete and really need to quite smoking these "analogs" so any help would be very much appreciated.

I have a Black Silver Bullet as my main and love it. I have 2 atomizers, and 2 306 atomizers for testing. I am in the majority of my time a cartomizer user.
I have 2 batteries that I alternate day to day. Just ordered two more just in case. They pretty much last all day, in some cases two days. Just depends upon how much you use it. I bought the Silver Bullet specifically for the long battery time.
So much is self learning, but now I keep the regular atomizers for some juices , and the 306 atomizers for others. The regular atomizer burns normal (for comparison sake) and the 306 (low resistance) burns hotter. Some juices taste better with one or the other. A lot of personal opinion, and a LOT of testing of juices will lead you to knowing more.
My personal experience is that fruity flavors seem to do better on regular atomizers, and heavier, more tobacco flavors do better on Low Resistance (LR). There again, tastes may vary.
Same thing on Cartomizers. They Have regular cartos, Low resistance, Dual coil, and dual coil low resistance.
My Personal break down is, regular, warm, hot, and hotter.
If you like a mellow or sweet smoke, stick with regular atty or carto. If you like a good warm vapor or throat hit (cig), go with LR or Dual coil cartomizers.
Unfortunately juices vary soo much that this is not always the case. So keeping a small stash of each is a good idea for testing and daily purposes.
Of course someone will have an opposite view of this, so you have to just kinda soak up all the information, shop, try, test, an make up you own mind over time.
I will say though that the Silver Bullet as a main device is a great decision. I have a few other devices, but don't really use any of them anymore. I wish I had bought it first and skipped the tester models I bought. Would have saved myself a bundle.

I guess I should state I did buy my Silver Bullet, batteries, and charger from Alt Smoke, Don't mess around with batteries. Stick with compatibility. You may be able to save a few bucks, but a disaster is a disaster. Many threads about that around here you can read up on. I went with safety over cost, being new to the game.

I have bought juice, cartos, and attys, from other sources though.

Silver bullet and batteries (charger if you dont' have one) are the major hardware you would need. After that it's atomizers/cartomizers and juice...

The silver bullet is a 510 native connection so any 510 atomizer/cartomizer or 306 atomizer will fit without the need of adapters and such.

Now the hard part to answer would be cartomizers vs atomizers & carts vs dripping.. and that's something you'll need to get to yourself. The cartomizer way is definitely the simplest of the 3. I have not personally tried the Yeti 510's that Alt-Smoke has in stock but someone on the forum can chime in on those. I'm not a cartomizer user but I have tried a few and found the Boge's (most shops have them) to be more to my liking, cartomizers are quite cheap so you can try a few different ones at all sorts of resistances to find what you like.

I take it you are looking for the simplest possible combo to get you started so I won't go into details on dripping and atty's.. just ask if you want info on them.

Hope I managed to keep things simple without leaving anything out!

The Silver Bullet is a classic 3.7 big battery device. I use mine with 1.7 ohm atomizers and a drip tip. I've been using the batteries I bought from Altsmoke since March and have never had a problem with them. You'll want at least 2 batteries, but 3 is better in case one goes south on you. I'm paranoid so I always have an extra charger on hand too. If you want to keep it simple just get a box of LR cartomizers or some dual coil's. In my experience you'll get about a week or so out of each one and they come in boxes of 5. If you get a 510 extension you can also use tank atty's if that's your thing.

Silver bullets seem like great devices but before buying something like that i would get to know e cigs a little better. Like which cartos and attys to use with it and such.

That's what I am trying to figure out now. From what I understand at this point, the atomizers, voltage, and cartomizers are a matter of personal preference. I'm not sure whether to get a 510 low-resistance V2.1 or the standard Yeti/eGo/510 - Atomizer. Btw, do atomizers wear out quickly? I've been looking at the descriptions and it states:

The entire Electronic Cigarette is composed of products that will eventually stop working. The atomizer is definitely no exception, make sure you have a few of these stocked up in case yours die!

With my Silver Bullet running 1.7 ohm atty's I'm getting between 4 and 6 weeks per atty. I'm buying them in bulk here BULK 901 801 Joye 510 and 306 atomizers. It's the lowest price on genuine Joye atty's from a US vendor that I've found, but you do have to buy 10 at a time. I'm using the LR 1.7 ohm 901's on a 510-901 adapter. The LR 510's are 1.5 ohms and work well too but I find they run a bit hot and burn some juices when I've got a fresh off the charger battery which actually measure 4.2v.

You think the low-resistance atty's work better for producing more vapor?

    Depends on the juice.
As a normal rule of thumb yes, however some juices actually work better at a standard resistance.

Yes they do as well as more flavor depending on what kind of LR is used. Boge LR attys produce more flavor and vapor and SmokTech Dual Coils produce more throat hit and vapor.

    Those are cartos, not atties.
Don't confuse atties with cartomizers! Two completely different animals.
For cartos you will use more of these than anything else
BLANK BOGE 2.0 OHM LOW RESISTANCE 510 CARTOMIZERS (BLACK)

Just don't go cheap on the atties, get ciscos from avidvaper or ikenvape atties, I like ciscos.

    Or genuine Joye

Thanks again. A lot of helpful people here, not many forums like this one. If I may bother you one more time, I want to go with the drip method on the SB as it seems most efficient so what products do I need to get it working?

So far, these are the products/mods I am considering buying. I was never a heavy smoker btw, I smoked an average 4-5 analogs a day so I might not need so many redundancies for the accessories I am buying:

1x Silver Bullet Silver Vein finish
    1x 510 Low Resistance Atomizer V2.1
    1x AltLiquid - 555
    1x AltLiquid - Tiramisu
    1x AltLiquid - Flu Cured
    1x 2600mAh battery

Do I need to buy drip tips or maybe 2x atomizers? I am on a low budget although I'm not going to skimp out on quality if this is about my health. Is this all I need to get started vaping? Thanks a lot.

i rotate 3 batteries for my bullet, (got them from altsmoke) i get my 2.0ohm boge cartomizers from BOGE Blank Cartomizer for Joye510 (2.0 or 3.0 ohm) - $1.29 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce cheapest you can find and free ship with 25.00 order. i get my dripping atty's from backwoods brew (if your a tobacco lover, you should check out his liquid=but he won't be back till the 11th) smartvapes has good dripping atty's too.

love kick bass vapor ....... just have to throw that out there. alsmoke has one of my favorite vapes it is vanilla coco mint...

i love the ce3's on my bullet too. LOVE THEM....

i would youtube everything before you buy it. i swore i would never use cartos, but man have they come along way...love them for out and about.

you will definitely have some trial and error. but your doing your homework and asking the right questions :) think you have picked a solid mod. goodluck, keep us posted :)

OK, so I guess I'll add a 5 pack of dual coil cartomizers:

AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | 510 Black Dual Coil Mega Cartomizer, 5 Pack

    and a drip tip

    AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Metal Drip Tips - 510/Yeti/901

I have a battery charger that charges at 3V DC 170mA so I think I'll use that one even though charging will take longer. I should probably get another battery then. I watched a few videos on filling dual coil cartomizers, the so called "condom" method, as well as drip method videos, so I think I'm all set.

Also, is it safe to vape at 6-5 volts with the gear I have?

A charger that operates at 3v isn't going to work on the 18650's I don't believe. My Trustfire TR001 has an output voltage of 4.2v and that's what you need. It also puts out 500mah into 2 channels. The charger you've got just isn't designed for doing 18650's. I may be wrong though so why don't you ask in the general forum so you'll get several opinions.
