Silver Plated Contacts

I have a Prism SS and the bottom contact which is silver plated looks discolored but unsure if it is just in need of a cleaning or what? Should i just soak it in 99 % isopropyl alcohol?

If it's silver plated, jewelry cleaner would probably be your best bet. It's made not to scratch or remove a lot of metal on fine jewelry, so it should be gentle on your contacts.

Thanks Stosh I'll see if I can get my hands on some jewelry cleaner, i do have some Maas metal polish but didn't want to use it, worried it would be to abrasive.
