I quit vaping for a while, but have recently started again because my GF isn't a fan of my smoking. Naturally, I "needed" a new mod and rba when I started again.

Right now my new mod has copper contacts and my rba has gold plated contacts.

I'm thinking of getting everything silver plated.

Any experience with Ag plating? Pros? Cons? Better to go with all Ag or Cu contacts for any reason?

FWIW- AR Mod, Stillare RBA, .25Ga - 5 wrap, cotton.

i have a MadVapes edition Valkyrie. it has silver plated contacts. the mod contacts and all, seem to be holding up very well. this thing hits like a champ. any contact point is going to drop a considerable amount of power. so the Valkyrie is a hybrid single or duel coil dripping atty. the center post is the positive terminal for the battery so that helps with the voltage drop. the negative contact is a threaded adjustable post that is also silver plated... total resistance through the negative post, switch to the body of the mod is .3 ohms. the reading for the positive contact / top of the center post is .1 ohms, not sure how accurate this is because i could not use my good multi meter to read the center post resistance, do to the fact i had to feed the probe into the body of the mod. and not having anything to compare this with, i cant really say how good or how bad this is. but i can tell you that silver is the most conductive metal. and this (MadVapes Valkyrie) thing hits like nothing i have found in its price range. the only con to this mod is that it only comes in black with silver trim...

I doubt you will be able to tell the difference. Silver is only slightly more conductive than copper and both copper and silver tarnish and that is nonconductive in both cases. Also, unless the plating is fairly thick it will wear away from use when you attach and detach the atty.

Gold is a worse conductor than either silver or copper but it has the plus of not oxidizing.

In any case I doubt you would be able to tell the difference between them.

As a side note stainless steel is an order of magnitude worse but it gets used in mods all the time.
