[Classic vaper]

I just recently upgraded 2 of my mods copper contacts to solid.999 silver ones. They dont seem to perform much better, maybe because silver oxideses fast and is not a very conductive oxalate. I also switched out a few solid copper ones with gold plated ones and they are performing a champ. So far the gold plated silver contact is the best probably because the gold protects the silver from oxidizing.
What do you guys think and normally use?

Solid silver. Yes, it oxidizes, but it's easy to clean up and will last a lifetime.

Anything plated will eventually fail due to arcing and cannot readily be restored.

the oxide on silver is conductive anyway

silver (IMO) is more responsive than copper, despite similar conductivity. Needs to be silver on silver, not silver to battery

Only problem with copper (or brass) contacts is the need to clean them almost daily. I'd rather vape than clean, so I use silver contacts.
Right now I'm using a 6 year old silver contact that only gets wiped off on my pant leg when I change batteries. (bottom button mechanical)

Gold plated silver is the best of both worlds and hard to beat.
